If this "Rod to War" event means anything..

It shows that this game is going to have balance issues.. Already it looks to be like there is a almost 3:1 ratio of Bad to Good err.. Destruction to Order ratio.. I hope the map isn't going to become a landslide where one realm just zergs the other and repeatedly wins battles due to sheer numbers..

Can anyone confirm if this game is going to be a zerg fest or not?

well i took the warhammeralliance poll... the new one... and looked at the data... it's still cca 40% order and 60% destruction...

but what worries me a lot is the tank, healer and dps ratio... while the dps ratio o vs d is almost 1:1... the number of destruction tanks and healer is 90% more then alliance...

so what that means... for every 2 tanks on order you'll have almost 4 tanks on destruction... 2 dps on both sides... and again 2 vs 4 healers...

again... some of the people that took the pool didnt play the beta and might change their mind... but looks like we'll have a tanking and healing issue on the destruction side... too much hp and heal... not enough dps )

I can kinda understand why order doesn't have much tanks ... I mean come on a ironbreaker and swordmaster don't attract people that wanna play tank. thats like a gnome warrior. Yes there are some but most dislike it.

Look @ the black orc screens and the chosen screens. Now that are tanks, big ass dudes with large shields. Thats what tank players attracts.

i agree with the above poster on the order tanking classes. in MMO's,  typically have my mains as classes that server a purpose other than DPS, IE healers, tanks or hybrids.

i dont think the difference in sides is going to be too negligible, as there are always people who are going to play good, always people who are gonna play evil, and always gonna be people who join the underdogs. im going order. i like the idea of being a "Champion of Light", but thats just me. all in all, this post gave nothing to this thread, and for that i am sorry

Just to let you know that Order isn't really a shiny example of good. Warhammer isn't much of world of Black and White, Good and Evil. Just saying lol and I know what your getting at.

A good example of warhammer world is the race empire. So are so rotten to the core I still don't get they aren't exstinct yet by killing eachother

I took a look at that Road to War site, and I don't think it is a reliable indicator of anything outside of the contest itself. For example- I don't see much of a reason for it beyond hype and so I'm not participating in it. I'm going to be an Order player.



Not to mention that the forum going crowd is mostly destruction, and they are the ones most likely bothering with it.

I'll be a perfect split between Order and choas.  I'll play 2 servers if I have to.  but I want my Squig trainer, and chaos knight.  I also want my dwarf priest and White Lion.

Destruction will out number Order but WAR takes organization to win and the Order are going to be much more organised than the destruction and will be able to push the destruction back. It also helps that the Order have bright Wizard

Class balance is vital.

Totally agree.

I have played on two RPPVP servers in WoW back 2 years ago.

We all know that Alliance outnumber the Horde by a ratio of 2:1 (think there is only one server that made an exception on this lol).

Still it were almost always the Horde that won the Battlegrounds.

Why? The popular side is always infested by morons and kiddies. Teamplay is non-excistent, as everyone is bitching at eachother or people just go their own way and know all better.

Horde was in minority and it housed the more mature people of the bunch. More teamplay and coordination happened there. And so they owned the BG's most of the time.

Same will happen with WAR. Most kiddies will roll Destruction, while the more mature people roll Order.

So in the end it will balance itself out and won't it matter that much.

It is known that realms will be unbalanced. Who ever says it will not be so should not look further than WOW.

There Horde was always underpopulated to at least 3:1 ratio

 

But Horde players were always better , more organised.

Will that be the case ? If not , order will to put it simply "suck" and playing it will be nightmare of frustration.

 

I myself will play IRONBREAKER , in order to contribute to our realm !

PvP WoW servers are, or were for the greater majority of time, almost perfectly balanced. PvE servers were almost exclusively alliance, with rare instances where they were almost exclusively horde.
