I love being an underdog and underdogs have won out in the last 4 pvp mmorpgs, would anyone say that this was not the case?

EVERY race is gritty and no race is clean if you go by the IP. Dwarves are just as gritty and brutish as the orcs in this and most other games, and imho you may find the warhammer dwarves to be more gritty and dark then the goofy and bright green orcs of warcraft.
mohawks, piercings, tats and borderline insanity. just look at the fight from the promo. the orck bashes the dwarf in the mouth, draws blood, he likes it and comes back for more.

It only makes sence that kids wanna play the "good guys", and I do agree that Order will have more kids on. Those being older, say teenagers however would not play the "good guys" and thus play Disorder who seem to be the "bad guys". The kid to adult ratio seems to be about 3:1 favour Order. And yes you are still a kid if you are below 18.

But if you're talking mental maturity, well, that happens over quite a large spread of years. And yes I am only 17 years of age, and yes I consider myself an adult. Aenerion unfortunately had to save the World from Chaos as the Slann gates had collapsed and demonkind were swarming the world and in the war that took place his wife and two kids were murdered he swore vengeance on chaos, with that he drew the Sword of Khaine - an immensley evil sword which when carried by someone so powerful and so good made him unstoppable... however it was cursed and corrupted his soul with chaos. Not to mention, being on an underdog side makes it easier for individual players to make a name for themselves and become more well known. Bigger fish in a smaller pond.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Raw population isn't the end-all, RvR participation is definitely a huge factor. And the war can be thrown easily in favor of either side by how that plays out. And as you said, the overall war isn't just RvR.
But while there are certainly many factors in determining a victor in the overall war as well as success in RvR, the likelihood of a good balance IS increased if the realm population numbers are closer rather than farther.
