How Often is it Updated?

Hey guys

Just got into this game last night, and so far everything I saw in it  is absolutely awesome (for a free game anyway). :D

But I think we all know one of the largest problems in an MMO that eventually leads to total failure is a lack of updates and the company's communication with the actual players (duh).

So before I spend most of my free time on this thing-- here's the question: Is this thing routinely updated to the point where it's pretty stable? Also, do the GMs and workers seem to actually pay attention to the community? (I think we've all heard some of the horror stories of the Age of Conan GMs)

thanks! :)

from what i've read and noticed myself from playing... your worries are not baseless, they seem to completely fail with content and updates so far... they are supposedly having a "big" update or several average ones over the next coming weeks/month(s)

so have to see how much they add with those, though reading the change/add log on the forums, im so far not very impressed.

I've played this game for 2 months a few weeks ago I quit because of the lack of end game content, they have been announcing patches for months and its just a big tease so far they just keep doing stupid maintenance for technical shit but no real updates the game is really still in beta state. I spent ~100$ on this game and I regret it... I'd wait before putting any money into it.

EDIT: On a side note, past level 63 the game get's really mind numbing because of the grind.. you NEED to have premium and having people to AoE grind with helps but if you like grinding 24/7 thats your thing.. I can make 1% XP each 30 mins If I'm lucky with Premium + 30% XP.

The only horror in this game is the grind.. I don't know why they call it an "HORROR" MMORPG.

I also thought it was an adult MMO but you'll still get stuck with the good old underage kids.

I know I make it sound horrible but It's really a good game with a great concept you should give it a try but I highly suggest to not spend any money like I said previously anyway good gaming to you sir.

I've played on/off for about 6 months. The game is the creation of a Korean company which handles the major updates.  Maintenance updates occur every Thursday night.  It is difficult to say as to whether the Gravity team listens to users' concerns. They are quick to censor negative comments from their forum.  Commenting about game balance was taboo for a while.  Posting about other games (even Gravity's games) was grounds for instant topic deletion. They've become a bit more tolerant but still keep a tight leash. However, the Gravity team does a good job of interacting on the forums.

Quite a few issues and bugs that players pointed out 3-6 months ago are still waiting to be addressed. Development  focused initially on host/client stability, releasing the game and adding content for paying customers.  Implementing user ideas and fixing non-critical issues would be counter-productive at this time.

    Ah, cool, cool-- thanks guys!

Knowing that they at least communicate with the players is always a good thing :D

Sounds like they're doing an OK job with the game, it sounds like a total grind, but it should hold my interest for a month or two :P

    Hope to see ya'll in-game!

They update about once every 2~3 months.  Thier first major content update is next week on the 28th most likely.  Then again in November.  The turn-around they have with the Korean Server is actually excellent compared to most imports, usually about 1 month for major patches and 1 week for minor patches.  Compared to 6~12 months on other games.

I would say in the meantime the best way to pass time until those content updates is find ways to bash them without getting your post deleted.  Its quite tricky.

so about when was the last actual content update?

I stopped playing for about 3 weeks and when I fired up the client there were 2-3 patches waiting.  So, I'm guessing they're still updating every week or every other week.
