Ok so I think the 3850 will be a good bang for my buck. NOw my only problem is that my psu doesn't have a 6pin connector. Now it says it includes a power cable could this be a like a 6pin to 4 pin connector type thing or do I need a new PSU?
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

I recommend trying some new boards personally I think you may not find good advice here,
If your PSU can support a 3870 GPU, then the cables won’t be a problem – you can find adapters for everything.
You could probably buy an adapter 4pin-to-6pin (or whatever) yourself.
I have a 400 watt right now. It handled the 8500GT fine.

the 6 pin adapter's can be bought off ebay and from most pc shops.
My 4870 came with two molex to pci-e 6pin adaptors, so that should be what it is.
