I'd say (and am trying out myself) A Shadowknight, and Fury Duo. Both Shadowknight and Fury have Damage shield spells that can be maintained on the SK. While the SK has life taps and spells to heal the fury has a HOT/armor buff as well as a wisdom / Intell buff that makes the SK's attacks / life taps more powerfull.

IMHO I would, without a doubt, go with a Monk and a Fury. The combination of firepower is awesome and the Fury can easily keep up with the healing in any situation, not to mention the fact that a Fury comes in second only to a Wizard in pure damage. But even if things get too hairy it's great to have a Monk around to Feign Death the group. There are a million reasons why this combo is awesome and my partner and myself easily duoed this combo to 80 and was able to take down some very impressive mobs. All of the other combinations mentioned in this thread are excellent also but for me the Monk and Fury is the way to go. A personal choice, yes, but give it a shot and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Good Luck and good hunting!!!
I agree with Velorum A monk/Fury duo is awesome. I have played that combo and the firepower is inspiring with the heal and feign death you can get out of or control most situations. One thing you can take from the responses so far is one member of your duo should be a Fury.
Warden+Swashy is what I have done most of. Group invis, max speed buffs with aa's, and 2 evacs. Swashy is pretty good DPS and I have also spec'd secondary in the Mercenary (sta) line for the tougher encounters. I have substituted Warden for Fury as well with great results. Trade off is better DPS with Fury over some heal power and some foot speed reduction.
My second favorite combo is Necro+Wizzy. I let the Necro/tank pet get it around 60% and then blast away. Very effective.

Warden or Fury + Zerker, Swahsbuckler or Bruiser.
Otherwise you could try something along the mage route and have a Necro and a Wizard (the Necro's pet would be your tank).
