That pretty much sums it up. However the people that are in CB like myself wonder if its better not knowing how the game will be. The real excitement is anticipation. I am going to miss this part unfortunately, but still glad I was able to take part in the BETA for a major mmo that is going to be released.
I'm a fan, yes, but most of what I put forward is speculations on or info from videos, interviews, correspondents - the like. Funcom always struck me as never really caring. They'd put forth things for people to get hyped one and they provided a game that wasn't horrible, it just needed to be finished first. If I was watching them I didn't really care much for them. AoC was something I was interested in, too.
But I get the feeling Mythic cares. Podcasts, personal podcast from the crazy creative director, big monthly updates. Most of the bad hype I've seen are forum pilgrims saying "fack u mythic [MMO title] ftw" or really one-sided arrogance based on a bad time with a bug they probably didn't report, or speculation due to what Funcom really f***ed up for most new MMO titles coming recently. Which is still mostly one-sided arrogance.
True, my last words drip with arrogance too. But probably only to arrogant people.

Um yeah, me too. Go mythic, well done. To those that aren't in yet. Don't worry so much. You'll be playing for years to come. Two years from now a week or two will be minor forgotten about things. I haven't spent almost 3 days straight in any game since EQ's 1st year and haven't liked PvP in mmo's since DAoC. Both milestones crushed.

Sorry to say this but if you find WAR boring and lotro entertaining then by all means play lotro.I REALLY wanted to like Lotro and its a very polished stable game but man that game is one of the most boring games I have ever played combat wise and there is nothing that stands out about it at all it's just a nice stable game boring as hell though meanin I think I had rather go play a piece of crap like AoC than lotro again.

I'd say specifically what I think of Warhammer but that'd deal with the NDA.
Though, I love the Beta. It's not at full potential yet but we're dawning on it. Looks better than most MMO's I've played before, that have any -sense- of functionality when actually playing and not just boggling over other game's anime-esque or blood-soaked pixels.

Since the game is still under NDA, all hyping builds on fanboyism. No non-betatester should know, how the game really is.
