I was wondering what are the pet class in this game. I usually play the tank, but I figured I would try something different in this one and I am more of a casual player. Anyone have suggestions what I should look at when the game launches?

White Lion, Squig Herder, and Magus.

Yo forgot the engineer, who uses his turrets in the same way the magus uses daemons.
The Squig Herder and the White Lion are the only two classes with true complete control pets.
The engineer and Magus have "pets" which are placed in a spot and do not move but they attack enemies that come nearby. I honestly dont consider those true pets, they are more of a long term AoE. Whereas the White Lion and Squig Herder can actually control their pets i.e. attack/defend and passive/aggressive/defensive modes.
Squig herder for ranged pet class, White Lion for melee pet class.
Eng and Magus have what I would call totems.
