This is somewhat of a long post I apologize.

Well i've been leaping around different MMOs now for a bit however as I continue ive been experiencing more and more difficulties.

 

As of now i've played a few different games however I havent found something I truly have taken a liking to.

At this time I have played: DAOC: was my first MMO and it was truly a good game however the experience ran dry in about 1 year.

WOW: played for 2 years however I started hating the instance based PvP (it was almost like PvE) and the PvE (end game especially) caused me to smack my head against the keyboard due to repetition.

AOC: got to level 25 and figured out this wasnt the game i was looking for.

EvE: I felt alone in the game and almost as though if i didnt spend my life on the game I would amount to nothing and just wander around gathering minerals to make scrap.

I have also played a bunch of other games not worth mentioning besides thier names: Runescape, Silkroad etc.

 

Is there any good MMOs out even in beta (open) that:

1. Involve teamwork in instanced (not necissary) and non-instanced PvP

2. Has a community not made up of people that only instigate problems

3. At least somewhat skill-based

4. Is not a almost dead game with no players

5. doesnt take my life away from me to get to max level and have fun

 

I may be picky about my specifications however even saying that there is no MMO like this out is enough help for me.

Hello, I know how you feel sometimes. Its really hard to find a game that really suits you. Right now im checking into Runes of Magic. Closed beta is Aug. 28th. Then open beta is September and full release will be sometimes in December. It a f2p mmo. It doesnt have random pking. You can duel, server vs. server and ect. You can have a primary class and a secondary class. 6 class to choose from. It was pretty intresting to me. The community seems really nice and the support seems good too.  Heres a link to more information about RoM and the website it self.

Hello, It is hard to find the right MMORPG for you im just here to make some suggestions. Guild wars is a realy fun game with a good PVP aspect to it and a level cap of only 20 its worth checking out and it has no monthly fees. A second game i would suggest is CoH it has some pvp iv never been apart of that realy but its a fun game and the level cap is only 50 and doesnt take 200 hours ect just to be able to have fun. The upcoming games of Aion and Darkfall look realy good also they are not out yet and you would have to wait but worth checking out.

I'll suggest Earthrise, beta is slated to start in fall of 08, so shouldn't be too far from now.

In short, its a post apocolyptic Sci-fi MMO that is based around PvP and player driven economy.

I suggest giving EVE anouther try but this time dont go industrial. Join a 0.0 allience and take part in 100 vs 100 fleet battle's. Constently changing battle feild, and the most andvanved political system in an mmo ever.
