sure they are not worried at all. i'm sure the game will be fixed soon. gotta love 9 steps back 1 forward.

Lots of people who haven't progressed very far or are those diehard loyal types will defend Funcom to the end. However it is obvious that Funcom is in serious trouble right now with respect to AoC subscription attrition.

after reading more of the posts in there I think the guy I quoted may be non other thana certain super-fanboy who likes to quote inside information as if hes on the dev team or an FC groupie
Blizzard also has multiple thousands of employees, 500+ worldwide servers, just bought new offices with museums and giant artworks, and various other expenses.
Let me let you in on some insider info - Funcom is not wanting to be like Blizzard. You know why? Once you get too many players, it becomes far too risky to make major gameplay changes (See: Development).
Oh and I asked some where if 415k is the new 700k and without a doubt it is.Its everywhere

i remember 3 weeks after aoc release, i was 80 and bored, had so many performance prob with the game, i start complaining alot about the game in my guild chat, so i told them the client is a mess, the game is a crap, and that i think aoc is the new vanguard.
half of my clanmate laughed at me... anyway time has passed, and what was so unbelievable to them, became obvious, the game is crap.
all this to say, not that i was right, or i had a good guess...but just that aoc is dead, and in a couple of months this will be obvious to everyone, even if it seems unbelievable for now.
if you want to win some time, just use your common sens, look at what they did in 3months:
-couldn't fixe optimization probleme
-couldn't add content they promised for the release
-every single patch bring more problemes
-the game reputation is down the toilet, on absolutly every single aoc forum you can find.
-really rare to see whole clans of over 50+ ppl quit a game, many clans did it (my ally 100+ ppl on june, then 3-5 left on august 2 clan quit the game between june and august) this is just my ally, i heard many had same prob.
what the hell do you expect ? a miracle to happen just to turn all this shit around?
if you ask me what is more likely to happen, i would say nothing from these 3 past months point at funcom as a miracle maker

What is amazing is that not only are they totally missing how messed up the client/game are with stats, dungeons, seiges, combat etc all having major major issues..... they are also missing how messed up Funcom is from a finanical situation. Their cashflow decreased by 16M in the 2Q and they only have 36M in cash on hand. That basically means they have 6 months yet to operate. I really don't think AOC even has a development team any more.
i was about to say the same thing ... it's not just a matter of fixing the game at this point .

The massive amounts of lies in every PR release making the game sound perfect and our machines are the problem?
A loss of 6 million dollars in the quarter of release?

Seriously the Players HYPED the game just as much as anyone else.
They took what was said and even added to it without reading everything.
When will I learn to stop having faith in comapnies when they say something and then going out repeating what they said?
