PS Mr Bloodworth, what is interesting is that only a few days ago you were suggesting that there were no dupes at all.
I wasn’t aware of them, sue me. with all the huge exaggerations around here, can you blame me for not believing everything on the boards? Besides, too many people were getting it confused with gem stacking. I’m a human just like everyone else.

Before you jump and say "Zomg! Look what you did there .. no independent thoughts!". It was intentional and meant as a joke.
Unlike Avery, you resort to "name calling" and you take a "Holier than thou" approach to everything you post. You Sir, are a troll of the worst degree and no longer worth my time. Enjoy your time suckling Funcoms teet.
Please spare me. Your just mad I’m right (lol!), and haven’t joined the club of exaggerations and sectionalism. I do not believe everything funcom says, in fact, noting I ever say comes from funcom. They are just thr reaility of MMO Development. I would say the same things regardless of the game we are talking about, because dumb comments are dumb comments and there are a lot around here coming from your camp. I post the reality of the situation, and don’t get wrapped up in unreasonable expectations and exaggerations of the "I want it Now" generation.
If you think my posts are troll like, please look at your avatar, and posting history.I may name call, but i want to make sure you know im talking to you, and for that, it requires a simple Lauangue.
Everyone keeps placing this view that I think the game is perfect, and funcom can do no wrong, and that’s the farthest from that truth. But no one cares, because its nothing but flame time here.

Apparently, this is why they aren't banning anyone, because if they did ban the exploiters there would be almost no one left! They seem to even be affraid to remove obviously duped items, for fear they might drive any exploiters to quit. That's how desperate their position is right now.
The first line, is a good point. The potential repercussions would be larger than leaving them in. Most likely i suspect a different approach, such as changing how gems work altogether (such as the new post on their forums suggest) rather than ban a large portion of the player base that may not have know it was a bug or a bad thing to do, or bought the duped items.
Basically not punishing the player base for a mistake they made. This would not be the first time a development company has left the affected items in the game due to a large game wide bug created by them, but not the players fault at all.

Again, bans are not necessary here.
But removing the duped gems is. People who claim they did not know this was a dupe/exploit are lying. They knew damn well.
The simple fact is, with this very widely known dupe. two camps emerged:
those who treated the game and its rules with disdain, because they knew Funcom was incapable;
and those who treated it with respect, and retained a flicker of hope that Funcom would do the right thing and remove the dupes.
The first group won. It speaks volumes about this game and the way in which it is handling its challenges.
No-one expects things to go perfectly. But the measure of an organisation is the way it deals with its challenges. In this case, Funcom are punsihing the decent and rewarding the corrupt. It is one more deeply worrying clue as to the state of the company, and its capacity to maintain a decent MMO.
This game was fine (ish) as a multiplayer trek to level 80. It is improving that aspect of the game now. But a lasting MMO, which people keep playing for months on end? No way jose.
I wont be discussing stuff with Mrbloodworth anymore, he is obvious a troll in denyal of what is true, and with no or little knowledge of how to fix issues.
Take the problem at its root, and do something about it. The cummunity dont need more lies, Funcom.
