Honestly.. it's like a train wreck in slow motion....       must.... stop.... watching.    Take a look at the 3 month chart, that must be giving the CFO a nightmare.

I'm just upset that I couldn't find a way to trade put options in funcom.  I had this nailed back when it was at 25.    Made a promise to my wife I'd never short a stock because if you are wrong, you can get really wiped out... but buying put options is a much safer of way of betting on a tanking stock.

But funcom does have hope, after all they are showing DirectX to some reporters in a closed meeting  :)

14.00.  And the support at 14.00 has completely collapsed.  Next is 13.80.  The fall is continuing.

14.05 asks are popping up...starting to chase 13.90 support.  And with 90 minutes left in the trading day there this could get uglier.

14 appears to be the bottom.  Volume is drying up.  Most sellers probably already got out.    We'll get the bounce up to 18 in a few days, and then slowly fade to 10 by September.

Looks about right for the day at least...should bounce back to the mid 14's by the end of today.  But it was a nice plummet...we were a few dumps away from 13.8!

And of course, Funcom is the only company doing bad these days? ;)

Funcom exists in an industry that should not be beaten up by the general global recession.  The gaming industry and tech overall are still analyzed and trade on fundamentals.  At least in large part.

To be honest this is what they get and deserve for the utter junk AoC turned out to be.

Nope, but they're one of the ones that deserve it.

I think this is very similar to the common reply " all games launch with bugs"... right?

Funcom lost 50% market value in a week.... yes, I'm sure if I dug around, I could find a stock or two that have done worse

I could be wrong (I probably am) but isn't Funcom located somewhere in Northern Europe? So they don't suffer from the recession, but from the weak dollar/strong euro.

Either way, if they really did loose 50% that's a sure sign their going down. Fast. :) My guess, they'll sell AoC before it gets so far, possibly change the name of their company, and try to start over.

You know nothing is stopping you from doing just what you suggest. Obviously someone cares, for varied reasons or people wouldnt be reading them.
