Thinking about coming back.

Have been thinking about coming back, loved the game, my biggest issue was the server lag.  It wasn't because of players, but because of the code I believe.   Even when standing still you could see the screen would freeze every 2 to 3 seconds and make it jumpy.  Happened on both computers I played the game on.  That is a huge pet peeve for me.  No matter how much I love a game I wont play because of lag thats caused by the game.

 

Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? 

 

I am really missing my level 50 halfling warrior and 50 high elf bloodmage..and want to see them again, but not if its still doing what it did before.

    the only time i have anything like that is right when i log my chars in i get about 5 seconds of lag as everything is being rendered, also when crossing chunks(zones) i get about 2-3 sec hitch

    Server lag? Might be hitching your refering to.

    Hitching is much better in VG with only a few places causing a lot of hitching (NT springs to mind).

    When did you leave?

    Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
    Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

    I would suggest going back. There have been a lot of updates to the game. There is hardly any lag, like someone else said, about 5 sec in logging in is about it. Zone switches are 1-5 secs, and a good improvement. Overall I am very happy after a 8 month leave. Once my all access is done, I will resub to about 6 months.
