I'll use this thread to post all the beta materials i have to share. At the moment i have footage of every area of the game, 90% of scenarios, lots of RvR, keep siege and more. Pics will come too, but here's the first wave:

Khaine's embrace: Tier 1 scenario for the High Elf/Dark Elf pairing. A struggle to gain control of the altar of Khaine, but careful, if you enrage the mighty god he will unleash a wave of destruction that will kill friends and enemies alike.

Mourkain Temple: Tier 2 scenario for the Dwarf/Greenskin pairing. Conquer the ancient Mourkain artifact and protect it from your enemies, but be careful, running away with the loot isn't always the key to victory.
If you wanna see them before i get around posting them here, i'll post them as soon as each is ready on my blog: http://classygamer.blogspot.com/
PS: here's a little treat on the slew of pictures i'll post later. Just to give you amn hint on warhammer's actual graphics. I always told that proper lighting would have changed things around a lot.

Very nice, thanks !
here's an uptade with some new content
First of all, here you can find a gallery of recent pictures from the game, that clearly show that the graphics are really beginning to show some muscle .
The game still lacks high resolution textures (that will be probably added for release) and a few effects, and the client seems limited (expecially in the draw distance, which is much smaller of what the game can do, as seen here) but now shows an advanced lighting engine that makes it look much more realistic and scenic.
Then, Just for kicks, here you can see a whole slew of pictures from the earlier phases of the beta, up to the very beginning past summer. They are a good example of the evolution of the game to what it's now. You can even see a lot of never-seen-before pictures of the class that we won't get to play at least at release, the Knight of the Blazing Sun.
Finally, at least for pictures, here's a collection of most of the game's loading screens. They feature some lovely illustrations representative of each area, so I thought it would be nice to show them.
Last but not least, here's two new movies for you to enjoy:
- The Inevitable City: Here's the grim and dark capital city of the forces of destruction. Tzeentch rules here, but the other chaos powers, Nurgle, Khorne and Slaneesh have their place in it.
- Stonetroll Crossing: A very tactical capture the flag scenario (Empire vs Chaos pairing, tier 2), very fast paced, in which group coordination and strategy cut clearly between victory and defeat
ty
Good videos, terrible music.
STOP WHINING!
bump
for those nay sayers on teh quality of the graphics, I suggest you skip to teh bottom and check out his screenshots taken on a higher graphics setting - they could almost pass for a different game from most of the crappy screens ive seen of beta and alpha footage.
The music sounds like some rip off dragonforce =p
The Vids were awesome tho
As the preview week end for Warhammer Online just begun, here are some more videos from the beta for you to enjoy:
- Altdorf Burning! A video that shows Altdorf in it's burning incarnation, as the forces of Destruction conquer it.
- The Fortresses (Order): In this movie you'll catch a preview of the three mighty fortress of Order guarding the end of the Tier 4 zones. To be able to assault Altdorf the forces of Destruction need to conquer two of them.
- The Fortresses (Destruction): same as the movie above, but showing off the three massive and fearsome fortresses of destruction.
As always I hope you enjoy them. More will come very soon.
(and yeah, i changed the music)
abriael.. why are you doing that????... IS AMAZING! , very usefull for these people that need to understand WAR. Is like a "WAR for dummies" book. Only better.
I'd way rather have sound at least some of the time, the music was awful IMO. Videos are great though, nice job. Really makes me look forward to playing.
gaah work blocking all the HQ screen shots. I've seen one of a high elf chick and I was blown away. I thought it was cinematic (still kinda do) so I really want some to compare em to. will have to wait n see but thanx for postin =D
Machinima (making videos with videogames) is one of my small hobbies, so it's fun for me
Awesome videos and you gotta love the music which I believe is Rhaspody of fire (a.k.a rhapsody)?
just filmed a new video of the improved (slightly) character creation in the new version offered for the preview week end. they enriched it, adding some new customization options (for instance tiaras for High Elves) and some new faces.
It's a step in the right direction, but still needs quite a bit of work (and better textures) to be up to par.
here's the video.
New Character Creation Menu
good stuff
Here are a couple new videos on Warhammer Online's beta that I cut yesterday night (after getting completely discuraged from Funcom nerfing gems on AoC for the second time in a row, again showing their total disrespect for their playerbase's time):
The Defense of Mandred's Hold: The forces of Destruction assault an Imperial keep in Ostland. Will the stalwart defenders of Order manage to hold? And will an hilgh elven Swordmaster fare at the controls of an imperial Hellblaster Volley Gun?
The Battle for Praag: a tier 4 scenario of the Empire vs Chaos pairing. Fought in the ravaged streets of Praag, it makes for a quite pyrotecnic close combat battle.
And here's another video, this time it's an overview on the dyes system

Hey. Just wanted to point out that this link points to the "Warhammer Online Beta: New Character Creation" video.
The correct link should be:

The RvR looks fun, liked how you could use turrets on players far below.
Two questions:
Is collision detection in ?
Are there flying mounts ?
Thanks for your effort.

And when we got more women on the team, it was like No, no, no. We need puppies and horses in there.
John Smedley, SOE
No flying mounts (thankfully, in Warhammer flyimng mounts are, short of Bretonnia, just something used by very very few generals, it would be extremely lore breaking to have many of them around)
And yes, there's colision detection both with friends and foes.
Here are a couple more videos as the preview weekend in the US and the euro closed beta are drawing to an end (today is the last day), even if i have plenty more footage to cut:
The Inevitable City Burns! The Inevitable city is under siege, and the forces of Order and Destruiction struggle in bitter close combat to gain the upper hand.
The Dyes System: an overview of the Dyes system in Warhammer Online. Mythic announced that, at release, there will be more than 100 dyes, opaque and metallic.
As always I hope you enjoy them
Machinima (making videos with videogames) is one of my small hobbies, so it's fun for me
Oh.. kool. I love machinima. I have a open source Quake engine, and one of my favorites mods is Blahbalicious. Theres two old machinimas that I freakin love. One is about Ozimandias. And the others are about a bunch of robots lost in mars ( I have forget the name).
Machinima guys are cool people. I even have some videos made by people using my engine. I love these videos. I tried helping these people adding a commmand to create .avi files from the engine, but no one use it. A interesting feature of Quake, is that machinima guys played demos of gamplay at slower speed than real, to use all the eyecandy features enabled.
Once the last server of a old game is down, only videos stay to remenber a MMORPG game existed...
Thanks for your work!, I really appreciate it.

Blahbalicous
Tonight i took a small break from cutting movies (i still have a lot of footage left, will work on it in the next few days) and uploaded a new set of 75 screenshots from the beta, featuring, between the other things, some famous NPCs that will be very familiar to warhammer veterans (Morathi, Malekith, Finubar and others) and a lot of views from tier 4 zones and capital cities.
You can find the whole flickr set here. Hope you enjoy it
Sir, I love you.

Is this WotLK stuff? Why are you posting WoW videos in the WAR forums?
Oh wow, because trolling isn't old yet.
