WoW is balanced around PvE. It's PvP game is fun at first but you quickly realize that it is horribly implemented. PvP in WoW is a snorefest. Skill is trumped by gear and the dominance of some classes over others just makes no sense.

I hear about skill in mmo's for pvp,  but I really can't buy into this. what skills? you hit your button before the other guy ? You hide behind a corner? last  skill based shooter was mech war III. you had to have skills, it was called lag shooting. you couldn't just point your weapon at a mech and go boom, you had to figure out how much lead to give because of the lag.

As far as mmo's,  daoc was major fun and hopefully war can bring some life back to pvp. I guess we'll see.

Do you really think that in 8-10 milion people playing WOW not many of them are intelligent and skilled players? Maybe it's you failing at realizing this fact.

Not at all. I know many players in wow from the old days and know they are skilled and would have to watch my rear in any game i played against them. And we are always debating wow.  I say it's to loot based and this takes away from the skill, they say it take skill to get the loot. been at this one for years. no winner. And these are hard  PvP's in wow and other games , including older board games.

People game at different levels.  some are very skilled and think of things i would never. some are so so.  I really could care less about others  skill levels  as I've met them all over the years. It's about the person, Are you skilled enough to be on top and are an ass hat, or do you play with your peers and teach that skill.

Was going to play Warhammer, but this post changed my mind.

OP doesn't make the game sound like having a group of friends wage war on an opposing faction would be any fun at all in Warhammer.

There will be no 'I win' button, stun-locking or 1-shotting.  Tactics will need to be employed by teams working together to achieve a common goal.  Words of more than one syllable will need to be used to convey instructions to one another - except the grunts used by Destruction of course.

Stealth is not a major mechanic, allowing the unskilled closing of range and providing easy kills.  You will have to plan ahead, and maybe use more than 2 button presses to succeed.

This game is for GOOD players.

World of Warcraft players, move along, nothing to see here for you

Obviously you are not in the Beta, or you would know where the I Win button is located.

    It's funny..

when a post is made about WoW on these forums, everyone jumps to say "You are wrong, WoW is the shit.. WAR sucks"

But when a WAR sucks post comes from this forums, all the WoW fanbois are more there then the War folks are here.

I like where the OP is going.  All you WoW guys who say WAR sucks.. Go play WoW.  Stop posting about how much is sucks.   Let us find out..   Since your game is SOO much better.. go play it.  WoW is not an original game, by any means.  But that's fine. I find that when I log into WoW, I have to deal with the Tweens (upwards of 80% of the pop, I'd say), and that's not what I want.  So, to those WoW players.. WAR is not for you, You can't stun lock, you can't be a NE rogue..

** No, I was never rolled by rogues.  I played WoW to PvP in the end, but it go EXTREMELY boring with the PvE centric game.

    Currently playing Real Life..

Yeah. It's great to base your choice on one moron's opinion when 99% of the thread disagrees with him (many of us playing WAR).

It's rare to hear me defending WoW, but, seriously, there is no reason to bash Blizzard who made as good a game as they could.

Millions love it and that's just the way it is.

Perhaps millions will love WAR.  We'll have to see.

Twitch is a skill, not the definition of the word skill. Chess is a game that is 100% based on skill as an example.

Warhammer online is world of warcraft 2. Many similitarities and many new and nice things (RVR)

WAR IS BETTER THAN WOW AND WOW IS BETTER THAN WAR.

There is no reason for me to choose one of the two games. I can play and enjoy them both.

I suppose everyone who playing or played ad liked wow will play  both WAR and WOW.

The only restictions for those that like WOW , in order to play both these two games is the money for game cards

Do you have have any logic behind saying that? WoW is a much more strategic game then warhammer, you have multiple things to worry about in PvP and PvE. You need to worry about stats such as health or intellect while understand a boss encounter or what to do in a certain BG or against certain classes in arena.

The features in warhammer such as RvR are certainly new compared to WoW, and probably does a better job then blizzard would do, but what blizzard does best isn't reflected into warhammer; it feels more like LOTRO then WoW.

And as far as cost for subscription I believe the majority of the MMO community only pays for 1 MMO at a time, perhaps 2 at a time. I think MMOs should lower the subscription cost mainly due to the fact that players may enjoy a game such as Eve online but already have a subscription to a game they enjoy more, like warhammer. Lowering the monthly few to say 10 dollars or even 5 dollars a month would allow much more people to subscribe to multiple MMOs.
