Not ur traditional Beta but at least Beta can be for everyone who can spend 10 bucks or so.
On the 29 of Oct until the 31 there is gonna be a World Wide free preview of the game similar to E3 and Beta is gonna start right after that with anyone who Pre-Orders the game gainning access every first weekend of every month the game is in Beta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you consider this sick news? Truely if you pre-order the game only to be able to play for the first week ends of each consecutive month until release, you are not really participateing in the beta test all that much or at all... it's only 2 days out of the month. It is an incentive to pre-order the game yes, but truely isn't that big of a deal. If you want to talk about sick things that happen to beta accounts, consider that all kinds of beta accounts are sold on E-Bay all the time, and not much is done to prevent that.

Well, in addition to the beta possibilities, there is the World Preview Event which anyone can join at no cost or obligation. So we have the World Preview Event on Halloween weekend, and then our beta weekend events starting in November and running each month until release.

Iv lasted this long only playing 3 days from E3 so why shouldn't i be happy that im gonna get some more playing time in the game. And also now i know that im gonna get into the Beta for sure instead of filling out the usual forms and praying.
And DaShiz u say ur not really participating in the Beta at all well incase u didn't notcice those weekend events is the Beta , No normal Beta for GW and thats why i said this is another shock by ANet cuz again they move away from the traditional stuff.

First you state this previous statement.
Then you state this.
Truely you are not what is considered participating in beta testing the game, which is what I meant to say. If you play 2 days out of the month, you get a small preview of the game, just enough to wet your appetite as the game progresses. Where as if you were participating in the beta test you would be feeling out all the aspects of the game to help learn what is wrong and needs fixing and what could use improvements to better help the development of all the game as much as you can.
Truthfully, I feel kinda stupid for admiting that I didn't realize this before I made my first statement on this topic, but when you said this was "sick" news, I thought you ment that it was like horrible news i.e. sick and disgusting.... didn't realize that you ment it like "Yo that shi^ is sick son". lol, my bad.

Normally, you have the closed Beta testers, per appliance.
In Guild Wars, you have those + the pre-orderers every first WE + the three days where everyone can test it.
Yeah, really a HUGE setback over other games - LOL

Since i play in the WoW Beta there are 2 things i can say to back up my statement. If anybody is like me whe u play dozens of hours on a char like i am doing in the Beta it does 2 things.
1) I play most of the games quest for that class and then when game goes retail there is nothing new to do in it.
2) I really!!!!!!! hate having to lvl up a char that i spent sooo many hours making if i did decide to buy it.
So by GW not having the traditional Beta especially since the game is made for more PvP gameplay than mission style those who are hardcore gamers won't burn out before the game is even released. Ya there is still gonna be a shit load of PvP to keep u there until expansions but still some ppl are just to hardcore and will most likely finish all the missions by the time they go through all the a Weekend events.
