Need Help on Transfering Files

Hello,

I just bought a new comoputer and have some files and games on there and need to tansfer them from my original pc which is a windows xp to my new pc which is a windows vista. I have the "Easy Transfer Cable" that is made just for transfering files from xp to vista, but I'm having trouble with it. I install the software on the old xp computer, and then i connect the two computers with the cable, but it doesn't let me do anything?! I get the the Transfer Wizard or w.e but I can only click Next and it tells me what i already did? Does anyone know anything about this or have used this cable before?

    If your using a router, set up Home Networking then share the folders you want on both PCs, then you can just use Windows Explorer to drag the files accross.
