Buying new desktop need alot of help please!

BoilingiceBoilingice Member Posts: 28

Ok going to sum this up real quick. I work full time so I dont have enough time to build my own or and desire to learn how to since I am very busy. Im willing to spend up to 2,500$ on my new gaming rig.

Anyway I checked out blackbird, alienware etc but seems to me the prices were crazy. I also looked into ibuypower.com and the prices seemed much better however Iread their quality does  not compare to alienware or blackbird.

Could someone please give me their advice on where I should buy my new pc and what specs I should go for?

Basically what graphics card, ram, processor etc.

Really need help I want a great pc but I dont want to get robbed either

i would say build it yourself.

all custom build computers are over priced.

how mush are you looking to spend ?

I don't know if there's a way to straight-up buy one and not get ripped off.

I have no idea how to build computers, but I do have friends that know how to do it well, and you can get something good built for ridiculously cheaper than you'd pay to have it built and have it run the same or better.

Even if you don't know how to build, I'd recommend asking around and seeing if there's anybody you're tied to who does know how and would be willing to do it.

Do brands like blackbird and alienware put the computers together better or something? Basically do they have any plus or is it ALL just the name?

Really appreciate any help I can get

nope. what matters is what brand of hardware they use. only difference between alienware is the case :)

i chose the best brands imo from their list.

i would have prefer an asus or abit motherboard but msi is fine.

It's a bit more complex than that.  Alienware overclock like crazy and tweak everything for maximum stable performance which is really what you are paying for but having said that they are way overpriced.

its easy to overclok he just needs to read up on it and find out more about it

So basically by buying an ibuypower I wont be missing out on if say I bought a blackbird, falcon northwest or an alienware. I read a couple of places that ibuyerpower just throws the parts together and they dont really do a good job is this true? Really dont want to make a mistake here appreciate all th ehelp so far.

To be honest, I would not go with Cyberpower or Ibuypower. They're cheap but the quality is terrible and you end up having to send it back to get it fixed. I'd suggest finding a local computer store (not like best buy) and talking to someone about a gaming pc and they set it up the way you want it right there within your price range.
