If people want games where the gear doesnt matter why even bother with MMOs?? Why not just go straight to some FPS game?? Gear has to matter a little or else players lose interest...There has t obe some goal for them to look forward to......

The good old "go play a fps".. like Potbs there is no real gear advantage, its all about skill and it's a MMO!!
There is some importance in gear of course but it isn t a HUGE advantage. It helps of course but won t define your charecter like some other games. The thing is so many people hated COX because thre was nothing in regards to charecter advancement outside of levels. I like the feel of my char upgrading itself through gear, a progression. Theres nothing wrong with it and gives people something to strive fr. It is not going to make or break you if your gear is a step down from the next guy, and attaining very good gear isn t too hard.
