Questions from a returning player...

I really havent gotten into the game since I left at the end of 05. My character still exist. I was thinking of coming back, and getting into the game heavily. My highest job is lvl 62 blm and am rank 6. Thing is I didnt even complete my Zilart missions. If I come back will it be hard picking up where I left off (completing ZM and moving to CoP)? Do people still do those missions or have they all moved on? Also does FFXI still see a fare share of new comers? Thanks in advanced.

You could not be picking a better time to be coming back.  I'd wait for September update and the level synch.  Yes, people are still doing ZM and CoP (myself included on both) as well as the ToAU missions too.  The game recently (I speak of Bismarck server only here) seems to have seen quite a big influx of new people but it could be that i'm back in Dunes area that i'm just seeing the new people.  You could come back now and still find a party. However, BLM your level is a bit tougher to get parties so you might be stuck making more than just getting blind invites.

A *lot* has changed since you last left though.  I'd definately read www.ffxiclopedia.org and see what all the changes have done. 3 Years is a long time in FFXI.
