What I wonder is will AoC still be around a year from now....

Funcom is acting like business is good and all the while it seems like AoC is dying and that financially they are overextended.  Do they know something that isn't public knowledge or have some deep investor that will bail them out??

I would think they would be 100% focused on costcutting, server merges, and fixing problems not spinning off part of their resources to work on a new game and a new expansion.

Either it is all hype, they got some deep pockets somewhere, or they are making some awefull management decisions....

Does anyone really believe they will do what they are saying??

lol best parts of the interview

    1) eee that would be bugs we need to fix them he he he.

    2) When will the expansion be realeased Early 2009.

He answers thats a misquote it will be released when its done Thats a NEW APPROACH we are taking

  • To be fair, they do have really cool plans.

It's just that you're a fool if you pay them while you wait to see if they ever deliver on them.

Pathetic, pure and simple. From the very first time i logged in, way back in CB, up to the actual release, i have maintained the biggest problems with AOC was their trust in thinking that by showing off tits and ass, that was going to sell this game.

Forget about the things they said were going to be ingame at launch. What about the over, over instancing and general lack of grand exploration in Hyboria.

I honestly believe that if they would have made the mmo with more sandbox elements and not dev spoonfed directed content, the few things that weren't in at launch and even most bugs would have been forgiven and even would had given the devs more time to develope and fix and even polish the game.

They made the world of Conan, simplistic and right down dull.

oh and they do read these fourms!

Lie number one: (56 seconds) in "since tyhe launch, you have been putting new content in the game 'constantly'." (said to the producer. - this of course is a blatant LIE

Lie number two: (1:10) "the reason why we are doing what we're doing is because we want to listen to the players and the community" - how much more blatant can you be???

Correction number one: (1:15) "we have people going through the forums everyday - Notice how they skipped the "and locking them all" portion....

Lie number three:(1:28) "we put together a top ten list (from playerbase suggestions) and work on that"  - Then how come game breaking issues are NEVER addressed??? instead they make sure Kalanthes doesnt look like a bum standing on a table...

Talking about the expansion: "we want to make sure it [the expansion] is as good as it should be, we've gotten feedback from our "test" community (IE live servers)

I dont know how they made that video with a straighrt face...... Im dumbfounded... really

I think that says it all.
