Well, why not? There are also people who enjoy first person shooters, no boss tactics needed for those either.
And thats basically what AoC is. A nice looking first person hack & slash with somewhat customizable characters.
To bad that isn't enough to hold my attention for long. Unfortunately it was long enough to still be counted as one of the 400,000 for the next 2 months, eventhough it has been around 5 weeks since I last logged on.
Looking forward to other games now, perhaps Aion will be a nice mmorpg.
In evaluating the legitamacy of someones statements it is always good to look back at their past behaviors to gain some insight into the ligitamacy and dependability of their current statements.
How have they done against the things that were promissed to be delivered in the month of June?

Looks like they are actively addressing most issues players have, other than personal "pet issues". Even owning up to the valid complaints and feedback many here have been citing as if they were the end of the world. Now let’s watch all the haters come in and say it’s not happening fast enough. Also, before anyone uninformed says it, none of this stuff is for the expansion, its all comming before it. (well, except for the expansion.)
Well 99% of the players dont feel its happening fast enough. Would you step off your horse please? Its kinda annoying to listen to your posts about how patching and fixes gets in fast enough, not to forget the honesty and openess Funcom always brought us.
Id rather them be done, then fast. and 90% of statistics are made up 80% of the time.

I would not consider the new area and its gang related content, more mindless questing. It sounds quite interesting IMO. Especially the thieving part.
Yep, Im looking forward to trying out the new area's, some on the conception and plot looks straight out of the lore and for that i'm thankfull.

... esp. considering he's not even talking with his wallet; he's not actively playing.
And, when he mentions about "every MMO's launch" and people complaining about it "not being fast enough"... I have to really wonder how anyone can be *that* disingenuous and not realize it.
The game's launch was 4 months ago. Not last week. This isn't their first post-launch patch fixing issues that were merely buggy at launch. They're implementing things that were supposed to be in before the first disc was installed.
It really does go to someone's point on here (OpenEdge I believe it was) who says that it's like they treat every day like Day 1. MrBloodworth is right in step with them.
It's like Groundhog's Day.. They'll just keep repeating Day 1 over and over, for as long as necessary, 'til they get it right. *Then* they'll start the clock ticking again.
To put it in context... LoTRO, by this point, was already beyond their post-launch bug fixes and was well on their way toward implementing their first scheduled content update, if it wasn't in already by this point.
FC, by contrast, is still dealing with Day 1 issues.
But no matter... FC gets a pass on all that. They're special.
I guess it'll officially be beyond launch when they get everything in... no matter how long that takes. No matter how many days, weeks or months go by... doesn't count. It's still just post-launch, and us "haters" with the audacity to expect them to deliver on their promises just have to be more understanding.
Of course.

True enough. But 100% of BS is made up 100% of the time.
Unfortunately (for them), FC is being called out on long-overdue content in AoC, not "statistics".

Now let’s watch all the haters come in and say it’s not happening fast enough. Oh... "haters"... You mean, those who paid for a game and possibly months of sub fees in advance, expecting content that wasn't delivered on... and now, 4 months later, still hasn't been implemented, despite on-going talk that it would be? That's not being a "hater". That's called holding a company accountable for what they say and getting fed up when they continuously fail to do so.
Unlike you, most people actually have standards higher than "well, better late than never!" Though, I suppose when you're not paying a sub fee, you can afford to be as patient as you want.
