Yea but darkfall's graphics are clearly fake and created in a college lab buy stoner kids.

    =)

Seriously though I am in the line of fire of Gustav and am just happy I have quick access to a solid shelter.

Anyone else that has to deal with this beast please be safe as you can possibly be and take no chances.

Anybody who lives near the Gulf Coast is fully aware of the weather.  They won't be seeking weather forecasts on a mmorpg forum.

Who knows if they are seeking it. They just announced the evacuation this morning and say someone who was wasted last night just woke up.

First thing they want to do? Check mmorpg.com.

    Enigma,

    I shockingly agree with you.

Giving OP crap for taking the time to post this is so freaking classless you should really apologize and be ashamed of yourself.

You never know with gamers.  A gamer who may live alone and hasnt moved from his computer for awhile may have no idea.  It would certainly be rare and hopefully not happen at all, but you can never be too careful and/or overestimate the intelligence of our race.

Glad I live in the middle of the US. Only thing I need to worry about is Tornadoes.

Be safe everyone and thanks for the warning.

I live all of the way in central Texas around Austin and just an hour or so ago we had some helacious winds.

Blew a massive hackberry tree over on my moms deck, tossed some random (rather large) tree limbs from down the street into my yard, and another big tree fell over onto my grandmothers storage building. Yeah, there is nothing left of that storage building.

Looks like I know what I will be chaining up tomorrow.

But just to keep the cup half full, atleast I didn't have to work this afternoon.

    STOP WHINING!

maybe instead of staying where they live while being told to get the hell out a week in advance, they will actually leave this time.

Hopefully those affected will get through this with your healt in order and as little material damage as possible. I still remember the horrific pictures of New Orleans.

I live in Baton Rouge and from the looks of it, this storm could still hit to the East or the West of me. You can't imagine how everyone now takes storms of this magnitude way more serious after Katrina. Things here are much more in order and Gov Jindal was on top of this very quickly.

The biggest reason that Katrina went so bad for so many was because of ex Gov Blanco. She couldn't poor piss out of a boot and didn't have a clue on how to evacuate and access the situation.

It looks like this storm is gonna make landfall sometime monday evening and i can tell you, if it does hit to the west of Baton Rouge, it sucks balls with all the rain and wind. I can handle the rain, the wind and the power outages is the most horrible part.

So i will say, just like the OP. If you are on the gulf coast, GET OUT!

It's only Cat 1 now and its dying pretty fast.  Someone must have prayed their heart out.
