I would personally go Intel over AMD, but otherwise looks good. That ram is good and cheap, same thing I'm running right now.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
what intel prossessor would you reccomend and what is bad about the amd 6000 i was going pretty much on price and "reviews" i am not sure what intel chip can be gotten for rge same price or even a tad more
again thanks in advance
I wouldn't agree. Generally AMD performs better with games than Intel.
To the OP - you might want to check the tomshardware.com CPU comparisson before buying. The graphics card is excellent choice by the way
I'd have to second getting an Intel over AMD. Intel is currently outperforming AMD in many ways and currently has less problems.
2-3 years ago perhaps. It's no longer the p4 days though.

Yeah C2D are better than AMD dual cores. But if your going for cheapness then Id stick with AMD. Im sure the AMD's really arn't that much slower than Intels.
I just built this computer a month ago for just under 600 bones.

I just used my existing case hard drive and dvd drive so that saved me quite a bit. I would do the same, cuz I thought about getting a new case and a dvd burner. But my case is not that old and I really have no reason to burn a dvd.
Dont spend $150 on a case and PS for that ! Jees - you build it in in a cardboard box get an ok PS and poke the savings at the stuff that matters.
If your case looks pants (and it need not on a budget) when ythose burglars break in the ywont give your rig a second look.
Caveat Emptor
just remember not to buy a 50 dollar neat looking case and use the psu it comes with, those free in case psus are nasty junk, spend 50 for an ok looking case and invest up to 100 in a well reviewed power source that has enough amp rails for your gear and a enough watts to stand up to maybe needing a few more in a year or 2 for some item that came out you didnt know yould need, card/more fans/ maybe some cool new drive
and for the love of god dont game on 7200 rpm on a desktop hehe 150 gig raptors(10000 rpm, yes 25% faster hard drive makes a very noticable difference) are well worth getting one for your os and main games, use those 500g cheapos for storage only =D
