Are the classes in War gender specific? Meaning can I play a female Bright Wizard or a male Witch Elf. From what I've seen in pics and vids that may not be the case. Any light on the subject would be helpful.

dunno about bright wizards, but I know that Witch Elves=only females and that Marauders=only males.
On the desto side all greenskins are male only.
Witch Elves are females only.
Chosen and Marauder are male only.
Don't know about order.
So on the destro side you can not play a female tank, kind of sucks. Have to play order if you want to do that.

Kind of inaccurate to say Greenskins are male only, because there is no such thing as a female greenskin or a male greenskin. They are unigender but have a masculine appearance.
On another note, Order has no gender specific classes.

All elves are female from what I can tell.
lol I'm not sure if that was a crack at elves or not, but all elves can be male and female except the witch elf class of course.

The question was, are any classes gender specific. Or, are there any classes were you can not choose male or female. I am answering the question. You can not choose female greenskins. What you do get looks very masculine. I would even say, that black orcs are the most masculine looking characters in the game.
im thinking hes getting the greenskin masculinity thing due to how the orks are pure stupid unbridled violence, and its always men getting blamed for stupid violence (although if youve ever seen a woman good and mad during "red tide" you know they can be even more illogical closed minded and violent) anyway the orks look like steroid abusing males the goblins act like lil chicken shits hehe and the other locked gender class would be the female witch elves that follow the lore of game workshop. well also ya chosen and maruader are males but thats because tzeentch is sexist when it comes to who he gives which powers too, also following the lore of course. on the bright side order are much more open minded since the forces of destruction openly slaughter orders women to stop the breeding of future opponents it became completely neccesary to traint he women to defend themselves to stop their wholesale slaughter from depopulating order via attrition of the breeders hehe

Why a Black Orc is more masculine than a male Chaos, Empire or even Dark Elf? Because a black orc has bigger and longer arms?
You cant be a female orc and goblin, but you cant be a male GS too, the differance of male and female is not based on the size of arms... orcs and goblins probably doesnt have male genitals (based on warhammer lore)...
Based on your concept, a budy builder girl is more "man" than a skinny guy with long hair...
You may see a black orc as a masculine figure, but it is not a male in any sense... so we cant define a greenskin class as a gender specific class, more like a non basic gender class and race...

greenskins = big mean mushrooms, they breed asexually via spores, no genitals involved, when you kill a powerfull ork tons of spores are released and a new influx of them spring up in the slog pits the orks cultivate their brethren in =D you can see one of these pits in the starting area, all full of nasty brown water and dead carcasses of things like squigs and grown orks rolling in the slop
In that case they are hermaphroditic

Only thing I can think of to counter the "looks masculine" argument is ever seen female body builders? They scare the shit out of me
. The fact is greenskins are neither male or female. Actually the other argument I can make is all high elves look like females does that mean they are gender specific? I mean you are going off looks here. Dont give me the boobies argument I know plenty of females that have no boobies. Doesnt make them any less female.

Both male and female. The podcast that Paul talked about that in said GW allowed for the lore change in that case. Dont think it will matter though lol during CECB and PW I think I saw 1 male sorc for every 20 female sorcs and I highly doubt there is that big of a RL female to male ratio playing them

In all seriousness tho, if masculinity is in any way tied to sexuality, as some are arguing about the greenskins, then the comment about there not being any male elves has some merit, doesn't it? Take every elf model in the game, combine the masculinity from each of them into one uber man elf, and still it would pale in machismo next to the singers from Hansen. I thought at first while making a sorceress that the male/female buttons were actually the with/without clothes preview buttons.
