Only allow those with credit cards to play WAR! No debit cards please!

Limiting registration to people only with valid credit cards would be a good idea for this game. I think we can all agree that we want to keep the atmosphere as mature as possible, and frankly if you don't own a credit card then you've probably not reached a responsible age yet.

Hopefully we can keep the kiddies to a limit, and debit cards are for youngsters, so I see nothing wrong with this idea at all.

I am 30 years old and have never owned a credit card.

Why? Because I can pay cash for everything why the hell do I need one. So I only deal with debit cards...

So I can't play WAR because I don't need "society" to hand me credit for a purchase, because I am responsible enough to go to college and land a job that allows me to purchase everything I own with cash?

Good deal, I'll keep that in mind when I go to the store and use cash to purchase a time card.  Afterall, not using any form of credit is usually more responisble than what you're suggesting.

sorry to say, but thats a dumb idea. I had a credit card in my name when i was 12 and my dad paid for it... and im sure other kids with deciently wealthy parents do the same. Also i prefer to use debit over credit. Regardless, if they only allowed one or the other kids will still play the game, they will just use their parrents card (which most do anyway).

Most of the German population don't use Credit Cards because we can do everything with our Debit Cards. Btw whats the point anyway if a guy gets the CC from his Dad or Mom.

Credit cards are free money...I don't see why people don't just do like I do; apply for everyone that comes in the mail and take it to the limit.  I only pay $5 a month on my $20,000 credit card bill, thats only from the 10 that I'm using right now.  I'll apply for more later.  Listen to me kids, I has all teh anserz.

Not all credit card users "enslave themselves to obscene credit card interest rates". If you pay your statement in full every month you are not charged any interest. The best rewards cards are often credit cards, and as such I use one as opposed to debit cards. It is also a good idea to obtain a credit card in order to build credit for when you wish to purchase a house (or car) and need a loan. Even if you don't use it (meaning you could simply cut it up) you still build credit.
