APB
Although it isn't out yet, APB is definately one of the hottest games to be watching right now.
Made by the same guy that brought us the GTA series and crackdown 
APB is basically a "cops and robbers" type mmo. Based in modern day cities, no grinding either, it's all about skill and is mostly PvP driven in terms of player content. I'd highly recommend it to anyone that is sick of the fantasy genre.

theres also this crime mmo called "7 million" which is supposedly going into closed beta soon. graphics are more like gta vice city. i just dont know how to get into the closed beta.

i signed up for the APB beta, hope i get in, looking for a new mmo, coz i got the money now
There's also Crimecraft (No its not a Blizzard game, lol.), it boasts having the Unreal Engine and Direct X 10. Also it will be free to play, but APB sounds cool too. Sounds like to me both APB and Crimecraft will be very similar. Both are in a modern day setting and both are about gangs and cops.
When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!
nice to see that devs are starting to make this sort of games, the mmo scene was missing some gta twist games

Remember the good old days when devs made games just for the sake of making a great game?
They are forever gone now all they care is about how much they can earn from them, if they can't make millions they won't make that game.
REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS AND REGRET THEY HAVE PASSED.
devs are jumping on the "crime" themed bandwagon, seeing how the GTA series are raking in the megabucks. dunno if its gonna be successful, seeing mmo players are a different breed than single player ones.
