This game will become boreing in less than a month.

I have read up on all the available material for this game and to me, it seems like its just 3 battlegrounds with some PvE stuff in the lower zones that lead you to the battles.  How long can someone constatly fight these battlegrounds before you say to yoursel.."ok, what's next?"

When I hear MMORPG I think about huge wide open worlds with tons of freedom to do whatever you want. I just don't see WAR fitting this model....

     hmm, what to suggest?

    You haven't understood.

I would probably recommend not purchasing the game.

When was the last time ANY mmorpg reached this achievement?  The reason for most why the rvr will never get old is because it is constantly changing.  This is the beauty of playing against other people rather then an AI.

The fact you say , you have read and it seems like,  and not played explains everything to me on your stand. I can tell you and not everyone inbeta will agree with me ( more will agree then not) the game is alot more then what you re insinuating. I ll leave it at that.

....someone's smoking something funny if he thinks he knows what he's talking about...there's 3 Open RvR areas...2 Cities...12 Scenarios and several rather long large Dungeons...thats not even counting all the activities in the Cities for High level players only.

    only 3 bgs...lord honestly trolls..

How will it be "constantly changeing" ? From what I see you level up to the forth stage and then push each other back and worth between your capital and their's.  To me it seems like the very same thing over and over again...

And what are subscriber numbers for DAoC like now? Anything new in the pipeline besides the Origins servers, which essentially rollback the game content to square one? A lot of how well Warhammer is received is going to depend on how quickly the devs are able to finish the content that should have been in at launch. Right now, I'm seeing a lot of promises, but little substance. The first month will be a telling one.

LOL, no one has been able to say that its not just 3 big battles and thats it.

At end game, all you will do is fight over the same area over and over and over and over again.

What does it matter what DAOC subs are like now. Every game that came out before or around DAOCs time are lower in subs, it s going to happen. The fact is when DAOC came out it did very well and now the face of MMOs have changed dramatically, due to WOW. There are alot more people to draw from and really thats one thing i m glad WOW did.

Easily, each person you fight is going to be different from the last.  This has nothing to do with taking capitals as that is a scripted event.  In order to take a capital one must first force out the defenders which are played by people.  If you fail to see the difference in this then WAR will not be for you and you should just ignore it instead of posting borderline flame-bait.

I m going to say it simply, what do you do in WOW at end game, what do you do in AOC at end game, what do you do in EQ2 at end game, etc etc.

Again, you make a new thread to state the same ignorant thoughts as your last thread. The game isn't released to the public yet so neither has any work been done on periodic content updates. Noone can answer your post cause the last I knew noone on these forums had the ability to predict the future. Hell the majority of these forums probably can't even tie their own shoes.

lol, all 3 of those game aren't worth the $15 a month combined, and you are right, they are the same too.  You get to end game and do the same thing over and over and over again.

That's why I come to MMORPG.com to look for new games and hope that someday someone gets it right!

    Well.. there are 9 scenarios..

    3 RvR areas..

that's 12 seperate things to fight over.

There are PvE dungeons, city sieging.

    Oh, and there's some crafting..

Nothing any diferent than any other game out there. Excpet for Public quests.

That's a new concept.  Oh. and the fact you contantly fight over control points.  Look at the success of counter strike.  Same maps.. over and over again.  How many times can you play dust 2?  Right.. it's on 70% of the servers.

So, what water do you hold? None, just a troll looking for some bait.  Read what you want to of my post.  I hope one day, you get a life.

Imo, it wont.  I had a blast in DAoC for years (still having it) and I didnt get bored after months of beta testing.

But I understand your opinion is that you will get bored soon. Then, imho, the best you can do is NOT play this game.

Anyway, have fun in whatever you do!

    Bye bye!

If you really did read up on ALL the available material you would know that this game is alot more than just 3 battlegrounds with some PvE. Its clear that your sole purpose for making this post is to troll on WAR.

Good job judging the game before it comes out.

  • ManiaCCCManiaCCC Member Posts: 121
Sheesh... WAR has more PvE content than WoW at release or AoC now.. more than Vanguard or more than LotRO at release... Please stop with "This game is just zerg fest"...it's not .. but if you think this.. ok, please do not buy this game.

I haven't seen a huge open world ever really. There's always level constraints because of mobs, gates, or other access restrictions. MMORPG isn't about making just a world, but its about roleplay gaming on a massive scale, which leaves the door open for anything really.

As for the game becoming boring...FPS games stay popular with the same stuff for years on end. Look at Counter Strike 1.6, people have played the same damn map over and over for a decade now and they keep on going(dust). Warhammer has more content, will have more content added, and will probably remain fresh for well over a year as it is. The fun is in the elemental of facing off against other sentient beings, i.e. players, and testing your intelligence and limits against them.

Ok people lets stop our bickering. The answer to everybodies question is this. Yes all games have repetitive aspects but its not about that. Its more rather are you having fun doing the same things over and over again. If the game is fun to you it wont get boring if its not then it will become boring. Plain and simple.
