"We close threads like these because only 1 side of the story can be told that will of course only add to more speculation than what is needed to resolve the issue."
Nice, really makes Funcom come off as a customer-friendly company. 'We don't like it when people point out our crap, so we're going make up this bullshit excuse and close any threads that we want.'
"Closing, please do not double post. Pick one thread or the other to keep as the original topic please."
But didn't you just close the other one?

I would suggest taking all possible evidence of this directly to Funcom and if they fail in the petitions, get loud, contact their PR staff directly about it and so forth. If you don't make this known to them, they aren't going to notice, or care.

What gets me is this...
They could do this.. and put a lot of effort into and maybe something will happen.
The reason it gets me is a good portion of their guild had already decided to leave for WAR...
and the rest were "going to stick it out in AoC".
Rather than putting a lot of effort into dealing with Funcoms BS... the rest could just go.. play WAR.
Trust me look at my previous posts on WAR... I personally wouldn't tell anyone to go play that game. I'm talking about from a company perspective... of a company that has 30 to 40 million (at a minimum) of outside funding to pay back...
A company that has already lost a ton of subs...
Oh and then there was...
"Besides Spore, Sebastian also thinks another EA game will debut strong this month. According to his estimates, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will sell 650,000 units in the 13 days after its September 18 release. Such a launch would be on par with Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, which sold 400,000 units in the week after its release. That said, EA probably hopes that Warhammer Online's subscriber base won't flatline like Age of Conan, which added only 15,000 subscribers in four months after its launch."
The keypoint in this financial anylist statement being:
"EA probably hopes that Warhammer Online's subscriber base won't flatline like Age of Conan, which added only 15,000 subscribers in four months after its launch. "
This does not surprise me. One reason a game company should use native English speaking people.

Traditionally speaking, account issues on forums are never good. Moderation does not mean /ignored
I do troll here a lot and did catch the thread when it was posted along with the Ast. Customer Support Manager. We are actively investigating the issue as much as we can. If for any reason mistakes were made then we will of course try to resolve the conflict.
Just for reference, anyone can message me here. I will be happy to look into or forward anything to the correct teams.

Ignore any issues of trying to untangle this kind of unfortunate mess....the one phrase that boggled my mind the most was the claim by a GM that there was no evidence of your guild ever existing?!
Are the GM tools woefully inadequate and do not prepare or equip GMs with what they need to settle this kind of issue? Or was the GM just trying to hush you up and pass the buck to someone else. Whatever the answer, heads should roll.

911: What is your emergency? You: I need help! I live at 123 XYZ Street! 911: Sorry but we have no records of your street ever existing.
Famine does troll here, but don't expect him to answer your PMs here either. Or if he does, he may just tell you he has heard it all before, nothing you say is new, and he may ask if you know anyone that would make a good class lead .
Reply to post #1 Sorry to hear that about your guild.. I wonder how much suxing the player made for the Gm, to give him the tilte of Guild leader? Dose SPARTA come to mind..

u know, funcom is actually...NOT based in the universe of USA. theres another universe out there that has a small planet in it somewhere named earth that has alot of countries on it that don't speak english.
funcom is based in Oslo, Norway. they speak Norwegian there. we're playing their game. -well, was playing their game...
but ya, AoC isn't doing too good. Funcom is dropping the ball, alot. their customer support is lacking. but don't make such a blatantly ignorant remark like that.

I doubt Funcom will be able to correct this there track record is poor, having said this at the very least the GM and player who were involved should be banned from game. I also belive this is not the first time that it has happened. FC-famine this will not go away if you can fix this do it sooner rather then later. There may be more of an involment here then just a player and gm if so your game future hangs in the ballance.

I would like to let every one here know that Funcom has made our guild whole again and returned our guild city to us.
I an very happy with the outcome they really handled the situation very professionally. No matter what you think about Funcom they really came through for this guild in a time of crisis.

There is always one in the crowd.
To the OP-glad to hear that a resolution to the problem came about for you.
To my friend to the north, Mr. Canada...I do belive that your country is bi-lingual, eh hoser? Anyhow-lets see----the last time I checked, America was NOT the ONLY English speaking country "out there...on planet Earth". Funny, I think England speaks, umm, ENGLISH? Britain? Parts of Ireland? Ohh, possibly Australia? New Zealand? or maybe even CANADA? (GASP!).
Keep your American hatred out of the MMO world and lets stay on topic. To address the guy that wrote the post you commented on, he has a valid point. If you are going to conduct any business in a country, it is best to have people employed that speak the language of the country you are doing business in. To the point, if I only spoke gibberish, and I wanted to do business in a place that 99% of the population spoke a language OTHER that gibberish, I think good business sense would say ----EMPLOY some who spoke GIBBERISH.
But, since Funcom is turning into Failcom, it wont really matter in a few months anyhow.

Suffice it to say, I simply can't see Mythic creating such a guild faux pas in WAR.
WAR is coming!

If anyone should be putting effort into fixing this and retaining anyone from this guild its... Funcom.
Word of mouth probably does more harm or good than any PR... and its pretty obvious how its going atm.
I actually was a AoC fanboi I guess...
Oh I have to stop this ramble so..
Personally if it was me this is probably what would get me out of the game... Altho I didn't make it past the first batch of "free" time so....
