Which class (Dest) has the most snares, knockdowns, silences etc?

Just wondering which Destruction class has the widest array of snares, knockdowns, pushbacks, slowdowns, silences (have I forgotten any?)?

I want to be able to get out of a tight situation when surprise ganked, or be able to protect the squishys in RvR if an enemy gets too close to them.

I had a look on HammerWiki but couldnt find much.

Thanks!

A lot of the abilities of the Chosen are designed to cripple the effectiveness of enemies and bolster the defenses of allies. Every class has can perform at least some of those functions, though, so the difference would only be marginal.

It is a harder question to answer than you'd think, they really spread out the CC a lot, no single class seems to be the best at it.

Just about every class has some ability to cc but no where near to the extent of other games.  The people at mythic specifically responded to this question multiple times in interviews by saying that there is no one class that will be a cc god, they also stated that it isn't fun to not have control over your character because of the actions of another class so every cc is very limited in that you can interrupt occasionally, you can slow for a short time, you can kd for a moment, mages can root for a few seconds, the primary priest like classes can knockback etc.

Do not expect any sheeping or stunlockiing to happen in WAR.

    Situation:

You're alone and roaming in an RvR area on your way to an objective when you're surprised by a lone member of the opposite Realm. You engage him in combat and after a long and hard-fought battle, it appears that you will have the better of him.

    *POOF*

You suddenly find yourself unable to move or perform any actions and your opponent runs away. You finally wrestle yourself free of his enchantment, but he's too far ahead for you to catch him. You gain nothing for your near-victory and if you fight this adversary again he will likely just escape again.

    Question:

    Is this fun?

To the person that got away I bet it is :P  During beta I was roaming through an rvr lake looking for the fights.  As I was wandering around a dorf engineer happened to come by.  We fought for a bit he took off running and dropped a landmine that had barbed wire in it that rooted me for a bit.  I used my escape skill and started chasing after him, throwing my axes, he would sprint, I would sprint, went on like this for a few minutes.  Caught up to him, rinse and repeat, after about 20 minutes I finally killed him but, that was because he chose not to run to the guards or run out of the rvr lake.  Dunno if it was fun for him, but I thought it was fun :)

From the videos I have seen looks as though melee have more crippling abilities, so casters just cant do a knock back and get away constantly.  I could be wrong....havent officially read up on every class.

    Uhh... what?
