Argh, tired of retyping posts

Man oh man, whats wrong here. Half the time I type in a response to something and it doesnt post. I get spawned back to the main page and post doesnt show up. Also Im no longer logged in to the site. I cant tell you how many times I've spent half hour typing a nice response to someone's inquirey and didnt post. Anyone else having this issue ?

I just spent half hr writing up a review of all the games Ive tried ranking them on exploration, combat, crafting, and maturity for someone who posted "looking for the perfect mmorpg". Okay clcking now.... please post... please post... crossing fingers.

    I agree get rid of the logout timer or make it alot longer.

    this auto-log timer is bullshit... i cant even count the times i would spend like half an hour writing up a huge post just to hit "Post Message" and find i have to retype it all over again... most of the time i just say screw it and do up some half ass post in the end...

    Argh...this just happened to me as I was reply to this postimage.  Because I am usally at work when I view the forums(stupid customers always taking me away from these forums). anyway it would be great if they could push back the logout timers.

    After typing your post, before hitting the Post Message button, just hit CTRL-A to select everything in the text box and then copy it to the clipboard. Then, if it screws you, you can just get back to the reply screen and hit paste.

    thats all good when i remember... im not used to having to copy/paste everything i post in a forum though, and i find myself having to post the same thing 2 times a little too often...

    anyways, you cant tell me the uber-fast auto-log hasnt annoyed you somewhat also... doesnt it bug you that you have to relog every single time you leave the site, even for just a few miinutes...

    That's fine and dandy but there is no reason to have the timer be as short as it is.  On the rare occasion I'm going to make a lengthy post I write it in notepad first and copy it in.  However, when I drop by to post a few messages over the course of 20 minutes or so I shouldn't be getting logged out.

    Yeah i agree with the other guy. alt c your posts from now on till they fill it. i havent had any problems though

    I just make sure I copy what I've typed before I hit the "POST MESSAGE" button, or I type it in Notepad or Word and copy it over before I post message. This isn't the only forums that have this annoying feature, but I'm so used to doing it it doesn't bother me. Just part of being online and being an active forums participate.

    the log out feature logs me out every 3 minutes
