Direct2drive Question

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

I purchased my copy of War at direct2drive and I downloaded the open beta for the last weekend.

I am wondering if they are just going to patch the beta download when it goes live or will I have to download the finished product when it comes out? (and will the beta copy I aready downloaded just be patched to work on Sept 7th?)
