Loot System?

Well I was just wondering before I commit my self tomorrow and picking up a Pre-order box at EB, I was wondering what the Loot System was like?  By Loot System I mean like how generally do you Get most of your Gear?  Quests, Drops or ??  I don't know much about WAR yet but I hope to soon ^^

A pretty good mix. Quest rewards and RR armor are the good stuff. And if you're good/lucky PQ loot is absolutely grand. Not alot of mob drops though. And what they do drop tends to be for other classes for some reason.

Most gear so far seems to come from quests. I've yet to run into a merchant who sold armor/weapons for some reason, and I occasionally get drops off mobs but usually end up salvaging them for crafting.

Theirs no Auction house or anything, seems like quests is pretty much the main way of getting gear.

Ok thankyou for Input, Erm Last thing so I don't make another thread... This isn't going to be like Guild wars right ?   Aka Pretty even set PvP table with Low Level cap and Pretty Even Easy to obtain gear.

The only Vendor's that sell gear (and they sell Green and up gear) are Renown Vendors.  You must earn Renown Ranks and be of specific Ranks (LEvels) to buy this gear.  Tier 1 the vendors are at the War Camp just outside the Open RvR zone.  In Teir 2 and up they appear in whatever Keep you control, if you have no keep your realm has no vendor.  Higher Tiers (RR 40+) the vendors are in the City.

You can not Salvage wearable Gear, if its not wearable its a specific item meant ONLY for magical salvaging it was never meant to be worn.   I got a rather nice Blue shoulders earlier today.    Mob drop gear isn't as frequent as some games but you get tons of nice gear from PQ's & Influence and of course Dungeons & Named mobs. 

Auction houses are ONLY available in the City, since noobs don't start in the city or anywhere near it you wouldn't know this.  I doubt for Open Beta Purposes the AH would really be even worth fussing over since it takes more than a day or two to build an economy.   WoW's economy didn't just "appear" magically on day one and it definitly wasn't there during Open Beta.  

Its obvious You've never been to the city or you'd of known right away there's Auctioneers since they have a nice pretty Mallet Symbol on the Map, there's atleast 4 to 6 of them in each city.  There is no 'main way' of getting gear..there's endless ways to get gear.   

Renown Gear - buyable, earnable

PvE Gear - Quests, Mob Drops, Player Drops, PQ Loot Bags (Class Specific), Repairable Drops, Influence Rewards(class specific)

Many of these are Bind on Equip, the loot system is incredibly robust.  To be honest if anyone bitches they're having a hard time getting gear they're doing something wrong.  I'm not even level 10 yet in the PW weekend and over half my gear is green and I have a blue already.
