Well, it's hard to know if your comment is cynical / sarcastic - but i've subscribed to PC Zone for a loooong time as i've always found they do fair and and balanced reviews of games. However, this isn't a review, they don't review games that haven't been released. It's a preview, big difference.

Give us a link then?
Sorry mate, its a glossy magazine in the UK, not a web site. They do have a site, but this is the latest mag out yesterday so the content won't be online.
guess you don't remember nintendo magazine reviews from back in the early 90's, eh? not much has changed since then, most reviewers still fellate the games with a good review number, even if the review would hint at a smaller number. and most of the time they give little info, just crap you'd find out by playing the game for five minutes
there are very few reliable, informative reviewers out there
(in this case, the preview is a review. what all will change in the week or two when it comes out? certainly not the entire game)

Oh right that seems like a totally logical approach. Bash the (PC) magazine because official mags get dosh to give rave reviews! ;/
I haven't read PC Zone in a long time. But I remember them never following the sheep mentality and happy to call a game out on it's short comings if it wasn't very good.
Comments

Wonder how much a 10page write up cost mythic =D that or PCZone are desperate for content.
Either way Ill wait for the scans to appear on the web.. which they surely will.

Nice to see WAR getting some coverage though.
