Help with EVE promo offer, please!

Well, I was an EVE beta tester, and I heard many things have improved for the game so I wanted to give it a shot and possibly sign up for the long term. So, I have two questions.

First, I have activated my account several times - my account settings read in big green letters: "activated." However when I try to sign up and activate my EVE account, it claims my mmorpg.com account has not been activated. It then gives me a link to do so, I click it, re-enter my activation code, it says I'm activated, and then says it cannot start my EVE account until I have activated my mmorpg.com account. So frustrating!

My second question is a little more straightforward - if I were to choose to pay to play EVE after using the MMORPG.com promo offer, is there any way for me to keep my characters or my progress?

  Are you trying to play the EvE online Free Trial Demo? Or are you trying to re-activate your old EvE account?

 If you are trying to play the new EvE free trial demo, first you have to visit the EvE online official site, and make an account there. THEN go to MMORPG.com and click on the link to download the free demo. Then make a new character/new account on the instal program. Then you are in.

 Yes! Your free trial after it runs out will not delete your characters. (I do not know for how long. 3 months maybe?) After your free trial runs out, go to the official EvE site, then go to the payment options link. Pay for whatever number of months you want. After your payment goes through, then run the game and continue playing your account.

 

 Last, you are better off posting questions about EvE on the forums specifically for EvE. Click on "EVE Online" in the menu on the left side of this page.
