I've just started open beta today and am having a very good time with it. To be honest, I thought this game would not be for me but I love the time and effort they've put into the story and the quests. The graphics are cool; they appear to me to be exactly what you would get if you crossed WoW with LoTRO--but perhaps this is because I'm playing a High Elf.
Anyway, here is the question: Is there chat? I haven't seen any regional chatter, OOC shenanigans, improbable shouts or even a stray MT. What's up?
Also, apologies to any quebecois person who thought this thread was about cats.

you can use /1 chat for zonewide chat. so just type /1 bla bla bla
