Think we are looking at it from different angles. From what I get from what you've said, the registration process and then actual access to the game is part of the beta process. For me I view the registration for it and then the actual game as seperate.
I think the more important question you should be demanding is a gurantee that the servers will be stable when the game goes live, or whatever is messing up the Euro logins right now.

I paid my preorder from direct2drive.uk, and it specifically states that the product gives access to UK Open Beta. It's as clearly a part of my purchase as is the free 30 days of game time wich is also included.
And as long Warhammer Online EU Open Beta servers deny my attempts to connect to them because I don't have valid username and password, I clearly don't have access to Open Beta. I'm just hoping that GOA will get their act together and give me the access soon.

EU players are angry coz they didnt get into the beta. Now gaming companies will always use betas as bait to get a good deal of preorders sold. In return for the faith showed by the customers they give their players a shot at the unfinished version of the game. Now if this crap happened to 10-20 people, it wouldnt be much of a problem. But pretty much the entire EU community got boned and everyones disappiontment snowballed into an avalanche.
Now us americans instead of sympathizing with these guys, or atleast ignoring their "cancelled preorder" posts decide to pour salt into the wounds by saying stuff like "You europeans suck" or "iam glad iam not in europe". Poking fun at them isnt gonna change their mind or make them feel better. All this will do is make an outsider reading these boards think twice before buying this game with a community that does nothing but flame and bash each other. Your just gonna add to the bad press after the EU fiasco.

Because the devs say through there diagnostic software that players did not play those classes as long as other classes, indicating they were weak, and not fun. Did they find that out because those people were expert debugging beta testers? Nope, just from people playing the game.
If they work out the GOA bugs before release they will do just fine. So some beta testers get pissed off, it's not really that big of a deal. The people that buy boxes off the shelves won't really care about what happened in beta.
Of course if they don't fix the problems, the the EU release will be a disaster. If they have to, EU release should be delayed until the kinks are worked out.

The so called Beta to WaR is a key selling point on many pages for the game.EA's page, best buys, walmarts, everywhere its sold as preorder they state, buy this and you give you a preorder beta code to play the game with limited functions for testing purposes only.By not giving out the beta codes to the people who did pre-order its worse then anything funcom did with their farce age of conan.At least with age of conan you got access to a broken game.

As well I played DAOC for 4 years.17 lvl 50s on merlin, 3 on andred and 2 on mordred not to mention the countless other servers I played on and artifacts/legendary crafting skills I maxed out.Towards the end of my daoc days it became buffbot vs buffbot in artifacted fields of AOE mezz.A Mindless grind that flat out killed the game.If this is a preview of what people are to expect from warhammer only a complete moron would buy it.
By denying me what I preorder for though they never have to worry about the couple of years I would have payed for the game, the money can go to another game from a company with better scruples.
