Problems that closed beta testers let slip through the net

Come in and name some things closed beta testers failed to remedy before open beta:

1. Did anyone at all play healer in CB? 'Cause the healing interface is awful. Surely some closed beta testers must have noticed that it's really hard to target allies in this game. If you target an ally it doesn't show their class or their distance, and the health bars on the "raid" interface are really small. There's no indication that someone is being hit. The icons over friendly's heads need to be bigger and the targetting circle needs to stand out more. It's impossible to distinguish who is who using the minimap. Everyone seems to be out of range constantly. Overall healing is a chore with the bad UI, this should have been reported more by closed testers.

2. Warhammer: Age of Range. As a ranged class I can annihilate everyone and only die a handful of times. If you play melee DPS, prepare to do suicide runs.  Should have been a LOT of feedback on this one, basically only the tanks and ranged classes have any fun with balance like this. I don't like to say it but I think they should have only invited big guilds like nihilum from WoW test this game, some of these issues would have been sorted.

Yes, the melee situation is no different.  Don't bother playing one if you aren't with friends that will be healing you at all times.

    It's like rock paper scissors.

     ...

Yes I did, I made many comments about the interface. Don't blame the testers on this one.

    1.  Try using the UI customization tool and scaling the windows to the size you want before you bitch.  Also go into the settings and set how you want their health & ap to show up.  The game is default set to only show your their bars if they're being damaged.  Maybe your not paying attention but their level & class do show up if they're in YOUR group..thsoe fancy lil markers under their picture on the lower left hand side depicts what class they are.  And I know for a fact there's a Number above their picture that tells you their number.   This isnt' an issue that slipped by us CB testers its a simple matter of you dont know what your doing.    btw some healers are close range and some are long range.  Some are melee based and some are more dot based and some are more standard fair.  Try a different healer or a different class.

btw who the hell uses the Mini Map to disgunish players its a mini map not an all seeing third eye.

    2.  I play a melee dps and the only time a long range character beats me is if I have no tank or caster to destract you with or you've got a WE or a WH stealthed nearby guarding you.  I've never had a hard time find a way to get on a caster and destroy them in a vicious awsome manner.

Hmm true colors showing perhaps? You think a big guild froma  shit game like WoW would help a complete different game...seriously Dont' blame us because You think things should be done differently.  These aren't bugs its just your personal preference.

Not an issue with a good guild. I was just in a scenario with my guild, we has one marauder taking on 10 order. He has about 4 healers on him. We kept him alive until everyone was dead.

When you play a melee DPS you need to talk to the healers in your group. Ask them if they have your back. Get some communication going.

As far as large scale ranged RvR go, wells that's a bit more tricky. It's part of the fun of playing one, it's very challenging.

But as far as the beta testers go, there have been tones of feedback about how they need more survivability.

The main flaw in this post is the use of "testers let slip through".

You do realize that testers .. give feedback... and developers are actually the ones responsible for acting on that feedback.  That as a CB tester.. I couldn't make the Developers do anything..

Worst interface ever imho or close to it... sent 8 months of feedback on that one.

In fact I'm pretty sure that you can just assume anything that is really broken or doesn't make sense.. had tons of feedback.

If you played DAoC like 3 or 4 years ago.. and logged in now and played for a few days.  Then compared it to WAR.. I think you'd understand that it all makes sense... as to how we got here.
