Is WAR a good fit for a casual player?

I'm looking for a PvP/RvR focused game, but my work/family schedule isn't going to allow more than an hour or so per day (at best).  Is WAR the kind of game that will allow me to do OK in the endgame without it becoming a full-time job?

Yes, I think it's aimed at casuals.

People complained about wefare epics in WoW. In WAR they are epic handouts.

You can get a set of pvp renown gear that will triple your dps.

IMHO ... Yes...it may take you longer to get to Rank 40 and even longer to RR 80 but its achievable and in an hour you can actually get a good bit accomplished especially if you are in a guild and your in a warband for RvR activities.  You'll find there's alot to do at all levels they made it so there's PvP / RvR right at lvl 1.  Gear is relatively easy to achieve and dungeons are broken up and public so you can do them over a period of days.  There's not a raid focus.  Even if you miss the Initial Siege for a city you can stil participate in the Invasion / Destruction of the city since once the city has been taken over it remains in enemy control for Several Hours supposedly 12 to 24 hours.  This allows everyone including casuals a fair chance at logging on at some point and being able to participate in end game.

btw ignore fingis he's just pissed that in PW1 there was a bug that allowed Tier 1 playesr to buy Tier 2 Renown gear and he got owned a couple of times.

Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

Totally made for the casuals and the hardcores. I have been doing scenarios, public quests and regular pve quest to gain levels. For the amount of time I had I got to level 8 Warrior Priest in 2 days (btw Warrior Priest rocks! ). Though you will find some who play 24/7 who will just blow through content then complain they have nothing left to do.

I would completely reccomend it for the casual player.

I am a full time student, with a job I have very very little time to play and so far I'm having a blast with WAR.

Very casual...theres really no grind if you choose so.

You can level up in 2 diffrent ways.... RvR or questing and pve (there are RvR quest by the way)

So someone who chooses to just RvR from level 1 (i suggest starting at level 6 so you have some skills) to endgame will have no disadvantage from someone who quests and pve to endgame.

So you can do whats fun.
