No point really in going open-RvR imo. The game is throwing PvP in your face every step of the way, no reason to be worried about running across a group of campers when completing a PQ or Quest. I guess some people just need to prove their tough or something.
I'm sorry, I am new to this but what is the difference between a core server and open rvr server? Core server you have to be flagged pvp before attacking? Thx

Not sure it will make that much of a difference, only time I saw someone from order was when I was playing an RvR scenario or when I went into a RvR area. I'm going full on RvR because I like the exitement of not knowing where the next attack is comming from.
Anyone who played the first PW should know the difference a single tier makes just gear wise. A guy 1 rank above you in T2 gear could wipe your whole team. Now he can be 12 above you and you and you aren't getting bolstered. The decision to cut out the chicken rule for even one tier really makes me wonder if anybody is masochistic enough to play on the Open servers.
What server are you picking? Personally i choose Open RvR.
Open is for those sociopaths that absolutely insist on FreeForAll PvP. After the first couple of weeks, my guess would be that there might be one, max two, of these servers running.
Or, Mythic will have so drastically changed the Ruleset that they would be unrecognizable from the original Open ones.

Open gonna be a gankfest.. going Core wich still allows me to pvp a lot and in a fun way without having to put up with gankwhores.
core suits our family oriented and casual guild perfectly

CORE servers; in the no rvr zones, if you meet someone from the other realm and try to attack, wont work unless both flagged for pvp
in OPEN servers everyplace is a rvr area and everyone is flagged for pvp even if not on specific rvr areas.
Thank you sir.
