as played and beta'd many a games. none of them had a good lore hook for me to grab on to said for WoW but I been playing warcraft since well Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. so with that series i was hooked and was able to rp all knowing past lore
mind you I used to play pen & paper rpg's for years
so got into this opened beta
I been enjoying the game......then made the mistake and went to games workshop's website
now i am so hooked on learning the lore. the game. warhammer that I am putting off getting this game and hell playing any other mmo's so i can start the table top game of warhammer
between the painting and creating the army. i donno it hooked me
and my wife approves...though its more expensive then an mmo
anyone else get turned to the tabletop game from this game?

hm... sounds like you are really going to love everything with the hammer lol...
No, but when I played Pirates of the burring sea, I got so into the period of time of real pirates I starting reading pirates history, got so hooked I stopped playing the game.
You lucky lucky man.
It was my wife who eventually...hmmmm, how can I put this gently...encouraged me to cut down on my playing, and eventually stop all together. In all honesty, though, I used to be one of those guys that had the weekly debate between a new gross of Skaven troops or food. Plus, my Saturdays and Sundays were Game Days.
Maybe if you're feeling daring some day, you could post some photos of your freshly painted troops in the screenshot section! It may be nice to see some figures mixed in with game screenshots.
Good luck, and I hope you have as much fun as I did with the hobby.
Currently Playing: Nothing...I'm developing.
Looking Forward To:
I used to play the Paper and Dice game....I was a bit set back when the skaven or fimir races were not playable.
Today, while questing, I ran across a Skaven! (npc). It was great.
This world has so much lore. You should pick up a copy of the Warhammer Fantasy hardback. Its like a Players Handbook and DM Guide in one. Inside is a ton of history, how the factions came about, and provides alot of the who/why/when/where questions.
