Will my system run it smoothy? 8800 gts...

Hiya,

Have warhammer on pre-order, I know my rig exceeeds the minimum specs..but after years of PC gaming Ive learned to take those with a grain of salt.

For those in the beta, will I be looking at nearly 60 fps, or at the very least well above 30? If its PVP action, I need way higher framerates than 25...to have a comfort zone.

Intel Duel Core 2.66

Nivida 8800 GTS 320 meg

2 gig of ram

Win Xp service pack 3

Thanks Guys

You'll be fine.  Should run it with no problem.

I have dual 2.4 with 8800 gt 512 and its perfect

ya you should be fine as the above poster said. I run it lag free with the following specs

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

    Windows Vista™ Home Basic

    2046MB RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT

You will be perfectly fine :)

    Thanks guys, appreciate the reply!

  • The game runs fantastically well on weaker hardware. I got a notebook with 1.6 Ghz mobile AMD processor and a simpe 7600 GO nvidia card. Runs perfect after I installed the lastest 7900GT GO card driver (it's compatible).

    Mythics graphic engine is great.

this game lacks sli support.. turning every eye candy option in nvidia panel will just choke game.. when it shouldnt.. specialy when hearing you run fine on 6800 +

Just to add my 2 cents :p

I have the same rig as you except with a quad core (which Warhammer doesn't use), and 4GB of memory. However, Warhammer only uses about 1.1GB of RAM, so 2GB should be more than enough.

I have the same system except CPU that is with Athlon X2 6000+, and the game runs perfect on max settings on 1650x1080. Only on on huge battles I get as low as around 20 fps, that is still very smooth playable.

So yes - game will run perfect on your system

Hi all, however for my pc, a amd 3700. 2 gig ram, geforce 9600, win xp sp 2. Problem i face is when i run, it will lag a bit than run ok than lag a bit again.  Its like its trying to process the graphic whenever i run a few steps.

Ive already run the game in " faster frame rate" yet the problem persist.

Any idea what should i do? Thank you

When you notice the lag a bit, is your computer making loading sounds/hard drive light solid on? Does it happen when you turn in a circle, or just randomly? Do spells not respond instantly when you cast them, even though you can turn and look around smoothly?

Just trying to get an idea if it's based on your system or if it's a network latency issue. I would think your card / RAM are sufficient to play the game smoothly.

Me and my bro is using the same connection, but his pc is far better than mine, a core 2 with 4 gig ram and a ati 4000 plus card. And he dont have any problem.

Casting spell is ok as long as i dont move, but when i run, any direction, even backwards, it will happen. No adnormal sound coming from the pc. But i didnt check the harddisk light...

OK, my harddisk keeps blinking when i encounter the lag problem. Ive already set my pc to run with optimum performance...

Anyone any idea how do i improve? Will adding 1 more gigi of ram help?

    Thank you

The only things that can help are to Defrag you HDD and/or use faster HDD (Raid, Raptor, SSD). Adding more memory will prevent you from get the same shuttering in the future in case you travel alot and return to the same zone later.

I think just defrag will help much. I also have little shuttering that is almost no problem with standart Seagate 320g HDD without defrag from more than half year. If defrag I expect shutter almost to disapear.

Yes, however, you can run 8x AS / 8xQ AA / Quality textures just fine on 8800GTS 512MB ( with SLI, but I think it is even possible with just 1 x 8800GTS 512MB, cause SLI seems to have low impact indeed )

Even tho I run SLI, I dont see the need for good SLI support atm, they will improve that down the road I am sure.

More important currently is a beefy CPU, running a Quad Core at 3600 mhz atm :p

However, it runs perfectly fine on a Dual Core at 2600 mhz as well.

    Hi, me again

Ive already defrag my HD, but the problem still the same. Any other more suggestion that i can  solve the lag problem?

The Weird thing is i can run AoC just fine, though not on the highest setting...

    thank you
