calling out of work sick to play mmorpgs is for chumps, i just spend 5-6 of my work hours playing games while at work still getting paid. its totally the way to do it

I have a very full life. Probably much better than most people. I have a girlfriend for 2 years now and I'm soon gonna pop the big question since we just bought a house togeather. I play squash, I golf, I go to archery, I run and I play MMO's. I think that is a nice life. Oh, and I only work from 08:00 to 16:30. Fri only 08:00 to 13:30. Overtime is only a few days a month, and when that happens I meet later the next day.
Im guessing you (and most other in here) live in USA. Don't you work for like 50 hours a week?? No way in hell would I accept that. I DK we work 37 hours a week (lunch not included) and get 5-6 weeks of paid vacation. Yes we pay 50% in tax, but all education and medical is free. We even get paid to study, but only for 7 years i think i is. We get from 1108 dkk to 5007 dkk a month ($200-900) depending on if you live at home and your parrents income.
With that amount af worktime you have in the US I can understand why you don't have much spare time, but maby you should start working on changing the system, so you could get a better work environment, like we have in EU.

What the F is wrong with you guys?? You call in sick to play a game? If you want to play, then take the day off. Calling in sick is pissing up and down your boss, and I hope he/she finds out and fires your ass... I know we have it prety good here in Danmark (yes I'm danish). We get 5 weeks of paid vacation and some also get 1½ extra day off each 3 month. For a total of 6 weeks paid vacation + about 10 holidays. But calling in sick when you are not is still WRONG!!
The American midset is much different most places. If I want to use a sick day just because, I can tell my boss I'm taking a sick day and he's cool with it.

It's estimated War will cause the US economy $80 million dollars in sick pay today and $120 million on Thursday, just kidding I don't know I made that up but probably lol. Btw serious cold going around called warituslakigamus, so I'd be careful about returning to work to early.
anyway i have earned enough points by working 7am starts to take a day or two of "sick" leave (was the bosses idea to stick it on sick leave so my other leave would not be affected). I never get sick and even when i do its not enough to keep me from work so those sick days are just gonna build up and up until i get paid out for never taking them.
so yeah, my boss told me to use some sick days (this was for the release of LOTRO). WAR doesnt excite me enough to take a sick day. i will go to my store on friday (if i read some good feedback) and pick up my copy. install and spend the next 12 hours patching...
