GOA started 20 minutes late but when they started it was quick and painless, then it took about 25 mins for my mail to arrive. Could log in immediately, had no lag and could play right away.
If GOA would have been SMART they's have started registration 10 minutes BEFORE the official time, creating a lot of goodwill for only a few minutes (sounds stupid but that's how people are). Instead they chose to be late, if only by a bit.
I'm getting invalid Key and the EA site is suddenly down.. Not GoA's fault on that I dont think.. But is anyone else having problems with EA keys?
I actually found out my problem.. EA sent me the wrong code.. They sent me a regular release day code instead of the HS and bonus item.. I'm so anoyed at them now.. I will never order from them again.. I have had nothing but problems..
You guys are the lucky ones. I got a bogus code from Amazon.com that says its already in use. Because thats not insulting enough, Ive had to call these idiots 4x already, and when I called again today, they told me that getting another code from EA could take up to 5 business days. Yeah thanks for providing me with my early start code AFTER the game goes live. Word to the wise, dont preorder from Amazon.com, they really seem like they could care less about their mistakes or how bad they screw their customers.
I call BS on that OP. My key registered straight away and I got an email within a minute. No problems whatsoever so something must be working right. Plus I've got 7 free days (EU) and I'm a happy bunny. Ordered from direct2drive.co.uk if you wanna know.

I got my key authed within 10 minutes using SE key. What exactly is the problem you're having?

GOA completely cocked up the OB, but it seems they have their house in order now - I don't expect that to continue though .

I dont like EA much but from my first online puchase with them they have done well, ordered friday got my headstart key sunday.
The headstart key took a few tries to work about 25mins (after 8.00am) but im happy with that .
All i can say is keep hitting the submit page on the key entry page until the site takes your key,
Bah it just took one nasty letter. Got my key sent to me about 10 minutes after I sent them the "It looks poorly on your online store" Email to customer support.. hehe
Of the four of us in my gaming clan aiming to play WAR I can report the following:
One played Open Beta and although currently having some CTD problems has an account set up and working. Headtart key received from EA.
One set up an account at 11pm last night and got the email about ten minutes later. Headstart key received from EA
One set up an account at 11:30pm last night, has not yet received the email to activate the account. Headstart key received from Play.com
One set up an account just before midnight last night, has not yet received the email. Headstart key from Play.com has also not been received.
Unfortunately the last one in the list is me and I am getting a little irritated. 14 hours have passed and I have still not been able to activate my account. My order with Play.com was made about 20 mins after my friends - she has a key, I don't. I can't even begin to fathom the working practices by either company. I would just like some sort of official statement on what is going on.
Edit - Yup, I did indeed mean WAR what can I say, WoW is a habit
Everything worked fine for me and my friends, we all got mails within 5 minutes for both headstart and bonusses.

Been waiting about 21 hours now for my registration email to set up an account. Twenty bloody hours.
And it doesn't matter really because although Play.com said they would send out the early entry codes, I haven't got that either. I even called Play who just said "They are swamped". I suppose the list was sent to GOA/Mythic and they are humping the bunk getting that right as well.
Now I would not mind delays and problems IF they had the fucking courtesy to say there was a problem again.
Mine got through, but I cant log in yet, waiting for the mythic email. Did you go to the new page they just put up?
You can't login yet because teh SE headstart doesn't start until Tuesday. The CE headstart is going on right now I know EU and NA aren't that different.
EU Standard edition is now 12 hours old. I have been watching over the shoulder of my housemate. But then they got their key from EA after being in Open Beta.

I have been waiting for my confirmation email for nearly 3 hours now. It is excruciating! Does anybody have the same problem?
