As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to have to go with WO:AR. It's just a lot more mainstream and accessible to players, especially burned out WoW players of which I'm sure there's no lack of by now.

Although it would be nice if AoC ever added in their fairy tale content (well, in a year from now I guess it's plausible) then it would still sink. Too little too late at this point. They've really fucked things over for themselves and at this point are trying to make updates based on the money they've saved from the boxes they've sold... it's just going to be slowly plummeting, probably around 50-150k average in a year from now if it does survive.
WAR, to be honest, I'm unsure of how successful it can be. I can guess maybe around the 300k range in a year from now, and of course, I'll be told they'll eventually reach a million, but to be quite frank this game is not that amazing. 300k is a very good number and I'm not sure WAR will even do that. About 6 months ago I predicted that if AoC was successful and WAR was successful then both could give themselves competition + exposure to grow greatly and even 1 mil each. Sadly, AoC won't be doing that anymore, and other then that the hype for this game is just going to be overshadowed by WotLK for WoW players and then about a billion other new MMOs coming in '09 (At least 5 major AAA MMOs as far as I know right now, including Aion and CO).
Yeah, WoW's got that Blizzard name brand appeal. They could release crap and it'll have way more players than any superior clone produced by another company.

WAR for sure..
WAR by a long, long margin.
Once AoC players realize that real, solid, meaningfull PvP can be had in WAR, only the B3 fans will remain in AoC.
B3? Blood, Beheadings, and Breasts.
I second war

If only SW:TOR could be this epic...

WAR by far in my opinion.
