Wow some of the responses in this thread are simply amazing...

Thank you OP for writing up your review, dont be distracted by the fanbois who obviously cant look at anything objectively or even consider someone else's opinions.

If you tried to feel all big and important by discrediting the OP based on his 30+ hours statement, you should probably re-evaluate your life.  Mainly because you are just a jerk, but also because you are just wrong as he clearly said he played OB + Early access which is plenty of time to put in 30+ hours if you really played a lot.

As far as your review goes, I agree and disagree, but only as a reaction to my time spent in OB.

After getting almost every class to 10 or so (and johnnybigboss, dont kid yourself there arent 20 classes or whatever, the mirror classes do not count twice), I can definitely say that I feel the classes play a lot more dynamicly than the similar archtypes you see in WoW, and are overall more fun.  Especially after looking at the whole skill list and career/renown trees, I can see that there is a lot of room for interesting combinations of skills and classes.

Graphics, yea they arent anything new and are right in line with WoW, but I think if you came into the game expecting anything more, especially with large scale RVR, then you dont know much about MMOs with current technology.  I liked WoW graphics, and I like WAR graphics for what they are too.

Crafting...you are right on with the devs saying that it wasnt a focus, so cant really fault them on the systems they have.  That being said, it does lack and there are many people like myself who enjoy crafting on the side, but it isnt why I am considering buying the game.

Equipment...yea definitely agree with it lacking right now, but in past games I have noticed that over a couple of patches you will see more itemization and hopefully WAR will be no different.

Where do all these people come from that think that the extra time and care that went into the pvp aspects of game mean absolutely no effort went into the pve? PQ's are one of the best additions to the pve space for a long time. And theres hundreds of them. As well as questing and fetching and pretty much everything else your accustomed to in pve.

As for the OP.. max level for any of your toons is ...19? Theres a reason reviewers for game sites are required to finish a game before they review it. That's impossible to do for mmo's for the most part, but IMO you really haven't played it enough as a single class, or overall infact, to truly review anything. Except maybe the starter areas. Not disagreeing with your opinion or point of view, just the validity of it's actually applying to the game as a whole.

In my opinion, WAR has that special something that has been missing in many MMORPGS released recently, and that is fun.  I had a BLAST during OB, and didn't want to log off.  The pve isn't groundbreaking but it is quite fun.  I had a great time maxxing out my renown running around the different PQs, grouping up quickly, easily, and just about instantly.  The quests were your basic PvE quests, but definately no worse then the early WoW pve quests.  The dungeons were also nicely designed, atmosphiric, and fun.  The battlegrounds were a huge leap better then WoW's and AoC's.  The open RvR BO's were a blast to fight over, and the constant flow of the battles had me on the edge of my seat.

I had a nice mix of renown/pvp/ and dropped blue gear, definately better then the gear progression from most mmorpgs in the 1-20 areas.  I've played WoW but often got extremely bored with it's pve (never made it to end game raiding, couldn't get over the bordom encurred in the linear pve only 1-50 zone grind, plus didn't really like the solo-centric immature attitudes that much of the population seemed to have). I actually enjoyed eq2s pve grind more then WoW's, and got a HE brigand up to level 80 before I quit.  AoC was a complete letdown for myself, and many others. Shadowbane, i never enjoyed, horrible pve, with zerg-guild gankfest pvp.  I did get some fun out of LOTRO, but it too got quite boring after a few months.  CoH/V wasn't bad if played with some friends casually.  L2 was a boring arse asian grind fest, imo.. too much like work, and not a game. Ryzom was kinda fun for a bit, but turned into a skill mob-grindfest for me.

Some of my favorite games are casual fast pased online FPS games like the quake series, CoD series, and half-life 1 and 2 including many of their mods (TFC was one of my alltime favorites, with TF2 and DoD source being two of my favorites atm).  Great thing about WAR is you can jump in, play some open RvR, do a scenario, maybe a quest or two, or even a dungeon group quickly , have some great fun, log out, and actually acomplish quite a bit.  You don't need to sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting to form a PUG only to have it break up quickly because of dinner/bedtime/whatever and waste your free time being frustrated rather then playing the game of your choice.  The open groups/pqs/and group finding utilites are wonderfull. I'm sure many of the solo-centric WoW players won't like the teamwork centered gameplay.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who won't enjoy WAR, doesn't mean they're wrong/stupid/whatever, but I do believe a large majority who really explore WAR and give it a chance will love it for many of the same reasons I do, and have listed.  WAR is a polished, well made game that has huge fun potential. In the end, the number of classes, graphics, music, gear, character creation are nice, but don't hand a candle to the importance of fun.  I believe WAR will be a huge success, but not a "WoW killer", because it offers an easily accessible, constantly adapting great time for those who choose to give it a shot.  The pve is pretty nice, but I believe the almost infinate replayability of the RvR will be what makes WAR shine (very much like the replayability of a TF2, CoD, or Counter Strike, only in mmorpg form).  And that, is my opnion.

PS- Sorry about the wall of text, but that was my more indepth psuedo review of WAR.
