War and raiding question (thinking of moving over from Eq2)

I'm sure there's raids in War but I was wondering if the raids are about the same as what we've come to expect in mmo's

Just hoping the end game raiding is not all about RVR...

And if an eq2 player can find a home here...

Thank you.

There is nothing like raids in WoW or EQ - very simple script for bosses. In fact, bosses just a regular mobs with a lot of hp.

This game is ALL about PvP. You have to get used to it. At least for now.

    Thank you.

It is a bit early to really say... However war does have a raid UI which they call a warband that lets 4 groups combine.

As to raid dungeons I can't say.  I did find 3 dungeons in the main city and there might be more.  One of them I was able to go into and had group mobs at lvl 15.  The other two required lvl 40 and a city status or something of 2 and 3 respectively.   There was also one basement area that might have had an instance but I wasn't able to explore it as the lvl 30 guys down there didn't like me snooping around and prompltly killed me....

I don't think the end game will have much in the area of raids or be like eq2...  I also don't think the classes have skills that are gonna be suited to anything other then just kill/heal type battles.  There is a lack of any type of crowd control or stealth abilities.  Course I'm no expert having only just started and played to lvl 13.  So maybe there are a bunch of dungeons just around the corner :)

Ty for the heads up... I'll stay in Eq2, avoid disappointment =)

But War does seam fun, who knows it might pull in some of the mmFps population. (wonder what ever became of the Starseige Tribes line, I loved the whole constructing your defense in that game)

Oh well ... over and out.
