I have a problem where memory doesn't seem to be clearing. Obviously being a new release, there will be many memory leaks. My problem however isn't with logging in. I closed down my machine after a 4 hour stint and went for food. When I came back I decided to play a different game (planetside). About 5 minutes in I get this war, drum beat music. Not thinking much of it other than, OMG Sony have done an update of some type . About half hour into playing I then start hearing voice overs, after listening for a while I remember hearing this voice over from an npc in the starting area for dark elves in WAR. Was kinda freaky considering I'd closed the machine down for over an hour between each game.
Ok, that's not your machine at least. You should really report that to Mythic so they can start fixing it.
To the OP: 1 Gig ram and running Vista isn't a fantastic idea anyways. Might be the client but your 1 gig will and are slowing down your computer right now. You should at least get another 1 gig, it doesn't cost much at all as long as you have 2 slots free on your MB. 2 gigs cost about 45 Euro (DDR2) at my usual store and you can probably find it cheaper, 1 cost about 25. Always have 2 identical memory chips on ech channel or the FSB will only run at half speed unless your memory is really old.
It may or may not solve your problem but it will speed up your computer a lot for not much cash. Your graphicscard is ok so youll get a lot in any game with more memory (Well, any game that's newer than 5 years at least).
