My view on the whole none talking issue is because, not many ppl know each other, not many ppl know much about the game, and plus there isn't a world type chat as i'm aware of so you can only talk to the ppl in your zone, some might not even really speak english! Communications come in time, people settle down in to the game, people then help others, new people ask questions, and guilds are formed and there you have it a community is born!
This IS the reason why. Most people going into every aspect of the game still dont 100% understand it. Jeas the game was only released yesterday. 1week to 10 days for those of us with OB, and i did notice that there. But this is the reason why. It has only been out now for this being its 2nd day, lol.
in the scenarious that I have played nobody ever talked to anyone else, it was strange but I then understood there is no reason to chat, no reason to get to know anyone join a faceless PQ, grind away, nothing to lose, no danger, boooooring join a faceless "open group", grind away, nothing to lose, no danger, boooring join a scenariou and run around ... nothing to lose, no danger, booooring
Its in the flawed design. WAR is supposed to be ego heaven. You never need to talk, and there are no social hubs. Its a theme park. A very good theme park, but nothing more.
There's no need to talk in tier 1 anything. Most stuff is pretty obvious. PQs are still filled with idiots that can't mouseover the objectives and figure out what they're suppose to do though. Name another game where you have this many options at level 1-10. It gets much more difficult and complex later on and the side that communicates the best will win. The only thing that can defeat good communication is overwhelming numbers. Let's hope the sides stay fairly even.
Like most bitch posts though, this one suffers from total lack of foresight or any thought whatsoever. Feel free to be the jerk that no one likes later on in the game. The rest of us will be in guilds and coordinating our attacks.
You know what I've done in pretty much every other MMO LVL 1-20? Solo quested and grinding stupid mobs. This game lets you jump in to the thick of things from the start. It's up to YOU to decide how social you want to be. When you're getting schooled by the other guys, you can bet their talking.
MMOs Played: EQ 1&2, DAoC, SWG, Planetside, WoW, GW, CoX, DDO, EVE, Vanguard, TR Playing: WAR Awaiting 40k Online and wishing for Battletech Online
