Problem with the hype-meter

Is there a problem with the hype-meter?

I know it's a complex system, but how does "citadel of sorcery", a game that was last hyped seven days ago suddenly make a leap of about 0.10 percentage points?

Darkfall and Aion have had much more much more numerous and regular hypes over the past week and haven't made any such leaps or falls.

So yeah, problem?

Darkfall was only getting hyped up because of the fans.  They just went about and started dehyping other games and than started hyping DF.

But yeah I am confused about that also.  How does one make a leap like that in less than a second.

That game doesn't have many votes so a small number of votes good or bad will affect the score more than a game with thousands of votes. Plus all the top games are getting de-hyped pretty strongly over the last week or two.

Understood, but shouldn't the game have moved up 7 days ago, when it last got a good hype then?

Hypemeter seems to have returned to normal now btw. CoS and Runes of Magic fell as quickly as they rose.

Why would Darkfall fans de-hype their own game? That doesn't make sense.

You don't have to leave a text comment when you cast your hype. There could have been lots of positive hypes for that citadel game since the last hype-vote-with-text was cast, they just don't show.

Maybe other games are also hyped by other people,so this game will not make any such leaps or falls.

Is there a possibility that fans of DF dehyped other games, specially those whose ratings is almost equal to their rate? There should be a rule that once you voted your hyped points, you won't be able to vote any games at all. But if your account had voted a hyped already, but you can still vote another game to dehyped it is quite unfair. Is this how tough the competition between these games?
