The game is very well done, but

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

I will always be a fan of the Warhammer universe, I have been a fan of the table top game and the RPG for years. And I want to congratulate Mythic on making a very fun game, however I have realized that this isn't the game for me. I will continue my search for a Fantasy game for Hardcore Role Players. I knew going in that Warhammer would not be that game, but I thought it would fill the void, it is only after beta testing and being part of the head start that have realized that I really shouldn't settle for what I am looking for..

 

Perhaps I am looking for a virtual LARP, perhaps what I am looking for is twenty years off, but I leave Warhammer with no regrets, Mythic did what it set out to do, make an awesome MMO, with a very cool community.

    Did you try LotRO, Vanguard, or FFXI?  FFXI is the most hardcore PvE game around that is still pretty active.

    Yep FFXI has a awesome RP community, but I am looking for somthing  that takes it a step further.  Vangaurd while a awesome game is more for the original EQ crowd, and doesen't really offer that much for Rpers. LOTRO...is becoming more wow like every day..which is sad.

    I know the type of game you are looking for, but it doesn't exist yet.  Keep an eye on the new Elder Scrolls online that is supposedly in the works, the Bioware MMO, and squares secret MMO project.  I think squares is code named Rapture right now.  When one of these comes out i'll be right there with you.

    Yeah, if you're looking for hardcore roleplaying/PvE, Final Fantasy XI is for you.  It's still running on about 500,000-600,000 subscribers, and the community is probably better than any other game.

    Yeah I am still subbed.  I barely ever play but every few months I renew my sub and go hang out a while.  I didn't expect WAR to take up so much of my gaming time though.  I will unsub and resub in a couple of months.  I can't wait for more info on Rapture.
